    Rapunzel spent years of her life believing that the world was overrun by evil people and creatures. This stopped her from venturing outside and experiencing joy and excitement. The only thing that brought happiness to her life were the gorgeous lights that appeared in the sky on the night of her birthday, year after year. Without knowing why, Rapunzel was certain that the lights were meant for her. So, the only thing she wanted was to go and find their source. Despite being a well behaved and kind daughter, Mother Gothel forbade Rapunzel from leaving her tower, which caused her to rebel days before her eighteenth birthday.
    Despite knowing that her mom would freak out, Rapunzel escaped and went on a journey that would change her life for the better. But, despite going to great lengths to uncover the truth, Rapunzel ended up repeating her fate with a different captor.

    May i just point out that Rapunzel's mother was already pregnant. Maybe she already had problems conceiving a child and when she finally had Rapunzel in her womb her body couldnt take it and she got sick. How is healing his wife selfish?!
    Wanting to please everybody is no where near vain. She couldve been insecure. Her wishes are even innocent.

Although understandable, his lack of consideration for the effects of the flower's removal on anyone other than him and his own family is what makes his decision selfish.

      That process is more like a memorial to remember them. In Hawaii people come together for person collective remembrance, reflection and to basically thank those whom have left us and light lanterns and put them in the water to float away. Japan does the same thing as well as America with the similar concept of Memorial Day. It's a notion of remembrance.

    • @cosplaymemories1487
      @cosplaymemories1487 Před 5 lety +1

      it's not just about "Disney characters" here, its about what the effects the magic plant has done. It is entirely plausible that the flower halted Q-Arianna's life at that point when she drank it and turned her immortal in the aging process so she didn't die like she was supposed to. Basically stopping her in time physically. It's magic. While Hades, Zeus and Hercules are gods- obviously immortal because so, they have magic but they aren't immortal because of said magic; it's because they are God's. :3

    • @cosplaymemories1487
      @cosplaymemories1487 Před 5 lety +1

      eternal youth is basically immortality. it wouldn't be killing her from the inside, but more or less be making her have a permanent effect of that which "mother" Gothell used Rapunzel for when she took her. So Q-Arianna would be immortal and eternally youthful on the day that she "was supposed to die". …. I guess you could call her a "vampire" in that sense-minus the hunting and other things that go along with that. Just stuck as she is.

    Rapunzel was raised by a fake mother who told her fake stories about the world in her fake appearence. Mother Gothel was really an old witch, there were no cannibals, snakes, large bugs or men with pointy teeth. Rapunzel stood up to Mother Gothel and sacrificed her hair to free herself from Mother Gothel. Rapunzel was reunited with her REAL mother AND her father.
    Rapunzel went through a lot of obstacles, but in the end she came out on top. She had an easier life unlike QUASIMODO from Hunchback of Notre Dame. Unlike Rapunzel who still had her real parents, even though Rapunzel was kidnapped by a fake parent, she was reunited by her real mother. Okay first of all Queen Arianna and King Fedrerick lit up the lanterns every eve of Rapunzel's birthday because they thought that if they lit them up and sent them out that Rapunzel would return home it only makes sense that way and Rapunzel was not cursed the magic flower gave her magical powers / magical hair / healing powers that does NOT i repeat NOT mean she is cursed and her father is not the one who locked her up in that tower it was Mother Gothel and it was not his fault and Rapunzel WAS supposed to live or we would have never had the story of Rapunzel how was she not supposed to live? i don't get it because if she was not supposed to live then Walt Disney wouldn't even have made her up it just doesn't make sense to me like what are you saying you are just plain flat out wrong and just because the family has powers doesn't mean there immortal and in the beginning of the movie it says the kingdom searched of her like what are you DOING LIKE NO JOKE LITTERALLY U DONT MAKE ANY SENSE DONT RUIN THIS STORY FOR EVERYONE ELSE UR JUST RUINING IT RAPUNZEL IS MY FAVORITE PRINCESS I DON"T CARE IF YOU RUIN IT FOR ME......JUST DONT RUIN IT FOR EVERYBODY ELSE

    Well, both Rapunzel and Elsa are cousins and maybe the black rocks are pointing to Elsa and her moon drop powers since those rocks are also made by moon drop. Thus a family reunion is in order, and maybe who knows maybe we will see Rapunzel with Elsa in Frozen II or a Tangle Frozen crossover, cause it seems to go on that direction if both have powers due to the drops, and maybe it keeps each other after doing a really draining move from going beserk. just a thought.

    "They could of taken her to an emergency C section"
    And you expect people who are, yes, doctors but don't have any technology what so ever to take THE QUEEN into C section and risk her life?
    Nu-uh, people don't just go out and risk lives like that.
    "It was selfish of the kind to take the flower for his wife"
    you're telling me that his unborn daughter AND his wife could just die on him? It isn't like today when we can go into a C Section and come out four days after. No! If he hadn't have gotten that flower for his wife and unborn daughter they both would have died! Giving birth back then was really scary! Being sick then was scary! Being both pregnant and sick at the same time is deadly! You can't just go out and say he was selfish to take the flower!
    "Why did they continue to give out lanterns even though they thought she was dead?"
    How do you know that they thought she was dead? They gave out lanterns not just so she could find them, but no because they celebrated her Birthday because they MISSED their one and only daughter. Back then some women would give birth with a struggle once and never be able to give birth again so maybe that is why she didn't have another child?
    Did You ever think that king Fredrick would want to raise his child with his wife? So he used the flower to save them both! HOW IN HELL IS THAT SELFISH HE WANTS TO RAISE HIS CHILD WITH HIS WIFE NOT ONLY BECAUSE HE DIESNT WANT TO BE SINGLE BUT BECAUSE RAISING A CHILD WITH YOU LOVED ONE IS SO MUCH MORE MAGICAL,
    Raising a child on your own is hard yes, but it is also hard to raise a child when you are dealing with loss then later on in life kids will go to school and they'll be asked where is your mum? And then she'll have to say (trust me I lost my dad and I got bullied because I only had my mum) cut this poor family some slack lady!

    My Opinion on Mother Gothel,
    I feel like Gothel was like any other human being..she discovered the flower and wanted to keep it to herself as she wanted to live forever (lots of people want to) and I think it was really precious to her...then when the flower was taken she got a little - no a lot - angry and crazy. Crazy enough to kidnap a child. SHE was the one that used the flower for selfish reasons!
    But honestly she took really good care of Rapunzel (presents, food) and my mom teases me all the time...however she didn’t let her go outside and well..you know was CRAZY AND SELFISH! (and the kidnapping...that freaked me out when I was small😂😅)

  • @jaidaregio9589
    @jaidaregio9589 Před 5 lety +2

    The first one was actually correct. (the one you guys said that the king made a deal with mother gothel) because the original story was a couple got married, and they lived in the forest. one day, the husband discovered a garden and he decided to get some herbs from it. little did he know, that a witch owned it. one day, the witched caught him stealing from her garden and she decided to curse him but he begged not to she agreed.... but, only on one condition-- once his wife gave birth, the baby will be given to her and will be named rapunzel, one of the herbs he stole.. he agreed. then they never shode up again. same story happened.. (except for them being queen & king and finding rapunzel) the ending was just the same and flynn rider was a normal boy from a province. hope this helped!!!
