Today in this episode we will review in depth what we already know about this titan as well as new facts and speculations that can be brought forth from the new Kong Survival Instincts game set to release in Fall of 2024.

I've seen some fans stating that they wanted Abaddon to be a bear titan (which would be cool), but I feel like the demonic spider design fits the "Angel of Death/Angel of the Bottomless Pit" description of the biblical Abaddon pretty well (even if a giant spider monster isn't the most unique design). It also fits with the idea of Abaddon controlling a swarm of bug-like demons, which could be those smaller spider-like creatures seen in the game trailer.
And the human skull motif of its main body gives off some major Skulltula from The Legend of Zelda vibes.
@@SasquaDash Therefore, if it is called a fallen angel, you imagine a lobster or a scorpion wasp, which is much more in line with its description and would be a great addition instead of a poorly designed spider (except for the skull shape).
Ngl, @blackgoji9516 , when I hear "fallen angel" I don't think of a lobster or scorpion wasp. I think of a humanoid being with dark, angelic wings. And a creature based off of the one that is synonymous with "The Angel of the Bottomless Pit" or some sorta "Angel of Death" being something like a spider actually, for me, makes a lot of since. Some species of spiders can burrow. Many love dark corners, which a bottomless pit/infinite abyss very much falls in line with. I honestly have no problem with it being a spider skull.
(I would like to add, even if not based off of, it is still named after the angel, so my point still stands ultimately)
Hey Goji Center, I think you were on to something about evolving to inflict fear, but I dont think it was meant for humans. I think it was meant for the Kongs. They have similar skulls to humans, so one could argue that the evolution of the skull-like exoskeleton was to bewilder and frighten the Kongs in ancient times

That might be it. Kong's species does have a lot of history that involves conflicts and wars with other monsters and titans like Godzilla's species and the Skullcrawlers.
I was wondering since it wouldn't make sense for it to evolve to intimidate humans since humans are too small for intimidating them to benefit it enough for that particular trait to be passed on. Intimidating Kongs though definitely would.

Don’t really understand why a lot of people keep saying Abaddon’s design is underwhelming when titans like Behemoth is just a sloth with tusks or Scylla is just a squid with spider legs. I know it’s people’s opinions but this thing just has a special place in my heart since im a HUGE fan of the concept of insects with invertebrate mouths like the spider in Primal

Personally I think it’s underwhelming simply because unlike Scylla, Abbadon is just that - a spider. Maybe Abbadon has some crazy abilities though, time will tell.
I think it has to do with the fact that we already have so many spider themed monsters with Scylla and mother long legs, and people still holding out for Kumonga.
@@waspsting2168 Some other people here already mentioned it but Abbadon seems like the closest thing we're going to get to Kumonga in the MV because Toho is so greedy with the rights for their monsters and Legendary likely didn't want to shell out a bunch of cash for what will probably be a one-off monster in a game.

This is an unpopular opinion, but most TOHO kaiju just aren’t popular or interesting enough to be worth putting into the Monsterverse. I see a lot of people saying it’s a missed opportunity not using Komunga here, but why would they spend a fortune on the rights to Komunga just for most of the general audience to not even recognize him?
Legendary has done surprisingly well at establishing their own kaiju/titans, while also being smart about which TOHO kaiju are worth bringing into their monsterverse.
Exactly, it's only a unpopular opinion to the fanboys who think a toho kaiju most casuals never heard of or seen will make a MV movie better. The fanbase thinks about themselves too much, a character popular with the fans doesn't mean it's popular with the general public. Hardly anyone remembers kotm in regards to the general audience and while there's a chance the general public will remember mechagodzilla from gvk and more recently mothra from gxk, odds are most casuals think mechagodzilla and mothra are new kaiju and not classic ones.

Toho has really been getting on my nerves lately. From all their dumb "rules" on what you can and can't do with Godzilla(which they don't even follow themselves) to the ridiculous price haggling they do with Legendary just to use Godzilla or another one of their monsters in any form(movies, shows, games); it seems like they're actively trying to sabotage Godzilla's chances in the Monsterverse.

Since you’re starting to dip your toes into Game of Thrones content, how about some videos on what would happen if Toothless, Smaug, or King Ghidorah were in the GOT universe?
Toothless is really strong even though he is small so he would definitely have a place there. Idk MUCH about smough but King ghidorah..... Yeah, it's over. NOBODY is messing with him
Ghidorah in GoT is straight out mass extincion event, end of the story.
Smaug would be the biggest dragon in ASOIAF history that keeps shittalking people and would probably f up the lanisters since he loves gold but would be manageable overall since he just spends his time sleeping around
toothless would be the stongest, fastest and smartest dragon and might be a threat to targaryans since he can team up with anyone he likes and not just with targaryans and the person he teams up with wouldn't be someone evil, that would be interesting too see or maybe he will just catch fish and chill
any of these dragons would be the top dog in GoT but to differing degrees and results
Toothless would likely try to keep to himself unless provoked. I could see Ghidorah allying with the White Walkers since they share similar goals(terraforming the planet and killing all life) but he'll probably destroy them once they're of no further use to him. Smaug would be interesting since he can speak and is driven by greed above all else. He'll attack other kingdoms to plunder treasure rather than just for territory and resources.
Some people might try to negotiate with him and I can see him humoring them out of twisted amusement before burning/eating them. People would learn very quickly to fear him and give him as much space as possible. It would be particularly cool to place him in the time period when the Targaryens still reigned. Smaug's reaction to other dragons and people riding them would be very interesting to see, especially if a rider dared to try and claim Smaug himself(it would not go well).
Without any other knowledge of GOT other than "dragons, royalty, ice zombies and alabama": Toothless would probably be famous for his intelligence but be on par with any powerhouse dragons although his small size would be a weakness; Smaug depending on how big the dragons in GOT are would either be a fairly major dragon or a very powerful force, but there's no way he'd let anyone ride him; and Ghidorah is just a freakin Kaiju, mans is 160m tall, if everyone bands together with the power of friendship they still wouldn't be able to kill him

It was pretty much confirmed that the Kong species were protectors of Humanity. What better way to lure your target then to attack those who are under your target's protection.
Perhaps that's why Godzilla wouldn't get involved in this game (outside of it being a Kong game) because Abaddon are predators of Kong. Kong has already shown relucent obedience to Godzilla's right to reign the Surface World. And Godzilla pretty much was confirmed to seek him out if he knew Kong was on the surface. If he's doesn't, he must know Abaddon can potentially take care of Kong for him.

If they're sharp though, they can outrage him pretty easily. A skinny dude with a knife wins out against a buff unarmed guy like 60% of the time, now give that guy four arms with knives and a likely venomous bite--
the tip of those legs are super sharp. abaddon could simple stab and pierce him.
Spears are thinner weapons than most being Basically long poles of wood with a sharp metal tip and yet they are known as "the king of the battlefield"

A titan I would like to see make its first full appearance in the Monsterverse is Typhon with my idea being that he would be a close relative of skullcrawlers but even more snake like with multiple long snake like tails, a long serpentine neck, and membranous wings for arms and just like skullcrawlers he would not have legs. It would also be cool if, since he was the father of monsters in Greek Mythology, he is actually a secret alpha titan. Another titan I would like to see make its first full appearance in the Monsterverse is Leviathan with my idea for him is that he would be a close relative of Tiamat but would be more demonic in appearance with goat like horns, spikes running down his back, red eyes, black scales, and red membranous flippers. Yet another titan I would like to see make its first full appearance in the Monsterverse is Baphomet with my idea for him is that he would be a giant demonic goat. I also think that it would be cool if the stories of the Knights Templars worshiping Bephomet were true in the Monsterverse and that after the persecution of the Knights Templars by King Philip of France in 1307, the remaining Knights Templars fled to the hollow earth and made a cult worshiping him.
I like Kong getting another villain for his own rogue’s gallery, and I think Abbadon being a giant skull themed spider feels fitting for Kong

Looks like Abaddon is also inspired by Komunga, the gigantic spider kaiju from Toho who Godzilla and Milla fought in the 60's, as well as the Skulltula's from the Legend of Zelda series. The way it looks is basically an upsized version of the Skulltula we saw in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Since his name was announced, the idea of him being a Bat/Dragon/Scorpion combination was way more exciting than just a Spider with a skull face. Yeah Scylla and MotherLonglegs called is Abbadon supposedly a long lost cousin or something....

Finally Abaddon is making his debut, but I am not a fan of the design though, if I made Abaddon I would make him look like the images I saw, a long thorax and front four legs of a praying mantis, the abdomen and back hind legs of a locust, a stinging tail of a scorpion, as well giving him mantis-like arms, that end in scorpion-like claws, all the while keeping his multi-eyed, tooth-infested mouth, skull face head.
That's how I would make titanus Abaddon.

For as terrifying as giant spiders will always be, they're also pretty predictable nowadays. Something that I'd really like to see in a future Kaiju series is a giant spider akin to Kumonga that, instead of being a terrifying monster that needs to either die or be beaten back, is actually benign towards or even helpful to the protagonists and has a personality similar to Mothra's. A giant spider being a guardian of Earth sounds like it'd be a fascinating change of pace, especially since I highly doubt it's ever been done before. If I'm wrong about that then please let me know, 'cause I would love to see whatever has a protagonist-style giant spider in it.
This is unrelated to the above, but if it's okay to ask, why was the first video taken down? I never got to watch it, so I have no idea what you found problematic with it.
The closest we've gotten that I'm aware of is the Spider-Monkey from Spy Kids, where he seems evil at first, but soon is helping the protagonist in a fight and needlessly sacrifices himself. 😂
