So hard to find more modern day classical music that I vibe with but this is heaven sent. Thanks. I lean heavy in the baroque era. A piece like this helps me branch out more.

I never heard of this composer until today. I heard his music on my local fine arts station in Cleveland Ohio. I listened to some of his other compositions and am totally impressed with all of them. Georgs Pelecis's music is absolutely the best in my opinion.
I first heard this song in 2001, when it was released on a compilation album entitled, "From Winter's Stillness". It is achingly beautiful, and I'm pleased to find it here so that I can share it with others.
I want to study this score (the soloist and the orchestra part) but I can't find it in anywhere, to buy or to download! It is so wonderful. I can't remember who and where but someone told me that this music was written only for the white keys on the piano (that's why it is called "Concertino Bianco" - "white concert" in italian!). To get different impressions of tonality, Pelecis uses the "modalism system". I am not an experto but I love to study music and discover new composers and works.
