I remember growing up never knowing if we would have food
It wasnât until I grew up did I realize this was my childhood too. But my mom did such a good job making do with what weâve got, including sacrifice her meals and other things so I could have what I need. I never even realized we were poor until I grew up and swapped stories with my husband. Now I know why my mom hates vermicelli since it was the cheapest and most filling thing there is (back in Asia) and she ate nothing but that for years⊠moms really are amazing đđ
I believe she has said thatâs exactly why she does this and packs them big lunches too. If Iâm remembering correctly, she has said that some of the kids have struggled with food insecurity and still have issues with it so she wants them to know there will always be foodđ
I am so sorry. Unfortunately some of her kids have had to experience that too.

@@sueb5645 she doesn't get government assistance. The children are adopted. You only get the stipend when they're fostering. Once you adopt the kid, that money goes away. She does a ton of promo work. They have done a video about their income/budget. She makes about 30k in promo work a month.
I love so much that the kids are never judged for food preferences. It's so nice to see a real family on CZcams with kids that have individual behaviors and get to play in the house and make messes and eat snacks they love.

I do the same with books. My kids, my nieces and nephews and my grandkids I always bought them books and they are all readers now. One of my grandsons is autistic and when he was in grade school he had a hard time reading so I took him to bookstore and we picked out a series he liked and he raised his reading level by 2 grades. It was Percy Jackson.

You should get a couple water dispenser machines that hold the 5 gallon jugs. You can have the bottles refilled on an auto delivery right to your door.

Yes they're awesome reusable cups can get a cheap tumbler for all the kids at walmart or dollar tree, thats what we do instead of buying water bottles.

I love the transparency in your vlogs. Itâs so refreshing to hear some one say not to judge someone on what kind of food they are buying but also love how you show the receipt after each haul. I love watching your food hauls because of this reason. I see snacks my mother would buy for me when I was a kid that I have not had in a long time but it just very nostalgic. You are a fantastic mom and the love you show your family - all the hard work you put in to keep the house running is just astounding and amazing. Kudos to you, say hi to everyone for me :)

I love so much watching your videos. I came from a disfuntional family with a mother that never showed affection or validated my tastes, wishes or needs. It's so healing to watch you be the mother we all deserve not just for one, but for 12 kids. I hope I will be a mother like you!

Harlee is just too precious!! She is growing so fast! And it was so nice to see Dash interacting like that, I donât remember him being in a video of this style (other than the shorts, partys and unboxing videos), just Alex, James, Naveah, Dayshawn and Harlee. I love this family!
I do the same thing right before school starts. I also meal prep a bunch of meats with marinade (for the grill) and dump and go crock pot meals because grandparents have a huge pool and we spend most our afternoons there and into the evening so i like to toss something in the crock pot and have it be ready or just be able to thaw some meat and toss it on the grill with some vegetables and a salad for those pool days. It makes my life so much easier and i only have 3 kids but i spend about the same amount you do stocking up for the entire summer.
I usually start meal prepping a month before school starts and i just make double of whatever i am cooking for the night. Then i spend a few hours just going to the store getting a bunch of different meats and make marinades with that. I also bulk cook taco meat and sloppy joes and bbq chicken and chicken tacos (taco seasoning & ranch seasoning). I buy weekly produce milk and bread. Its so nice bc you don't have to do "real" grocery shopping and i utilize pickup to grab the few things i need for every week and we're good to go. đ

Hi Alicia! I use to have my reservations about adoptive parents because I have heard and seen so many horror stories about how horrible those children were treated. I watch your videos and feel like there is a chance for those kids who don't have anyone, to be loved! I appreciate how much love you send to each child and treat them like you birth them all! I love your videos and thank you for letting the world know that you can love kids no matter if they are yours or not and that they can be loved and appreciated.

I always love watching your grocery haul videos because it makes me feel like Iâm actually doing grocery shopping too. I always wish I can spend more for my grocery and buy all I need like you did but I canât. I used to be a residence director for summer camps that provided snacks and breakfasts and the online shop with curbside pick up was a lifesaver! I did 2 purchases - one of all the heavy bulky predictable stuff that they loaded for me. And then a quick smaller run inside for any things I wanted to choose myself. It was so much better than my previous system of multiple flats. Hang in there - this is a huge job!
Your grocery bill is enormous . I love how you make sure you get food your kids love . You both are such great parents . Love how everyone helps out . I hate unloading and putting groceries away.

Yes to not buying the peanut butter filled pretzel bites! I'm in the UK so we don't see them often here but I got a 3lb tub from costco a few weeks ago and I ate the lot đ the kids barely got chance. Must have packed on a good 2 inches to my waistline, not making that mistake again đ€Ł
