    Sir who to make strong to make serotonin I have depression all the time do you know the way ?

  • @acupunctureclinic
    @acupunctureclinic Před 5 měsíci

    I am not sure where I read it or saw on CZcams but it said that the serotonin in the gut can go to the brain via the vagus nerve. Is this incorrect information? This video states that only in the brain the serotonin that is there will do its work.

    • @senseofmindshow
      @senseofmindshow  Před 5 měsíci +1

      From my reading of the literature, that does seem incorrect. The vagus nerve may be affected by serotonin in the gut, but it does not transport serotonin from the brain to the gut or vice versa. Serotonin's molecular structure makes it unable to cross the blood brain barrier, so the sertonin that's produced in the gut can't enter the central nervous system.

    • @acupunctureclinic
      @acupunctureclinic Před 5 měsíci

      @@senseofmindshow thanks for responding. There goes my idea of doing sit ups to affect my gut to get more serotonin into my brain and feel supercharged :-)
