I just wanna say THANK YOUUUU, your videos are really helping me in understanding this subjective. LOTS OF LOVE FROM BRAZIL. Actually if I may, you are really pretty that helps me to watch the videos too. ;)
Thank you so much! On a side note, are you a neuroscience student or just a curious observer? Either way, I'm just interested in how people are using this video. Thanks again!
@@senseofmindshow For sure, I am a Chemistry and Biology undergrad student taking an Intro to Neuro course. We haven't gotten too much into detail, but there are aspects that are overwhelming without additional help!
@@gabrielepealer8029 Very cool! I was a molecular bio major in college. If you think of it, let me know if there are any video topics that would be helpful as you continue in your neuro class. And good luck!
@@senseofmindshow Could you please do a video about what causes consciousness to arise? As in, why are we aware instead of being like robots or hypothetical philosophical zombies?
@@eustab.anas-mann9510 Hi there, thanks for your comment! I recently did a livestream about consciousness and the brain which addresses (but admittedly does not fully answer) your question: czcams.com/users/livey3u-GeEMPzs?feature=share ... I'll likely do more content on consciousness in the future!
Very good explanation and well made video. I trully apprecciate your work💪💪💪 I'm very interested in the neuroscience topic! Keep up the good work!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
You' re very welcome🙏🙏🙏 I haven' t seen all your videos and I don' t know if you already covered this argument. I would really like a video, if possible, about the areas of the brain that are responsible for nostalgia. Thank you very much for your reply🙏
I am not sure where I read it or saw on CZcams but it said that the serotonin in the gut can go to the brain via the vagus nerve. Is this incorrect information? This video states that only in the brain the serotonin that is there will do its work.
From my reading of the literature, that does seem incorrect. The vagus nerve may be affected by serotonin in the gut, but it does not transport serotonin from the brain to the gut or vice versa. Serotonin's molecular structure makes it unable to cross the blood brain barrier, so the sertonin that's produced in the gut can't enter the central nervous system.
@@senseofmindshow thanks for responding. There goes my idea of doing sit ups to affect my gut to get more serotonin into my brain and feel supercharged :-)
