If the last song on this list didn't give you goosebumps the first time you heard it then you're probably not human.
3:18 gross strings bruhhhhh Change them shits
@@BethechangeRoytheshizmaben They look fine lol, what are you talking about?
I live in the metro Detroit area. Played a lot of shows south of 8 Mile back in the day.
Nice job bro 👍
Smoke **** every day!!
I always wanted to hip hop
but the beggining seemed so slow and frustrating..
lmao so everyone gets the same fuckin add
Bro you're comment just made this day the best day ever.
....At fender hiphop we have online hiphop lessons available 24/7 so you can practice whenever you want wherever you are....
Adrian Schoensted “i can’t get no satisfaction..”
I....cant...get shaggy standing at the doorway outta my head
MF DOOM's rapp snitch knishes is the best damn hiphop guitar riff i've ever heard
I'm here to see MF DOOM
Sounds like Santana to me
Yeah
the best!
L: That's not even Biggie in the thumbnail, it's the actor who played him in the biopic.
Oliver Farahmand yea sick
Oliver Farahmand lol
ok and?
Dude knows nothin bout hip hop but still tries lmaoo
Why does it matter?
He seriously left out devil in a new dress
I mean, The Message guitar part is by sting. But it s still one of my favourite songs
And the Biggie part is a Diana Ross tune, but I associate them with their contribution to hip hop
@@MusicisWin wow I got a reply by you ahahah. Anyway good job from Italy 🤟
I love nas.. I did not know that lol
@@MusicisWin you listen to much old school hip-hop? Judging by the songs you've included I'm guessing so. Anyways great video, would love to see more
Someone else used that beat from the Nas Message song on one like a year ago I believe. Maybe Lucid Dreams by JuiceWorld. or something. I can’t remember the song but recognized the beat.
My favourite rapper right here. T Larson.
Dude i see you everywhere
yes
Legend...
Tyler the creator
Lil Lars*
Ice Cube's "Good Day", sets the mood for the entire song.
@@irakligaming7006 So is the next episode and the message.
@@irakligaming7006 copyright
He sampled a Isley bros song for that. Original is fire.
I went to a Mac Miller concert (rest in peace) the day after his 21st birthday and he was a surprisingly good guitar player. He even did a solo behind his back and later on he played piano too. He was a talented person.
There was a lack of Picture Me Rolling in this video though.
yooo i know the exact one you’re talking about you’re so lucky u got to see that live
Mac was a genius...his mixtape, Faces, is one of my favourites simply because of how personal and quite dark but druggy it is. The instrumentals on it tho...wow. And the fact he produced about half of it almost alone is mindblowing, very personal record.
He missed King Kunta by Kendrick Lamar
That guitar part is my fav hip hop song with guitar in it
What about "I" from the same album
My other recomendations
1 Young Micah - Books of War
Mac Miller - Small Worlds
Kendrick Lamar - These Walls
Earl Swearshirt - Ontheway!
Anderson .Paak - Put Me Thru
Anderson .Paak - Celebrate
A Tribe Called Quest - Electric Relaxation
Quasimoto - Low Class Conspiracy
Tyler the Creator - Garden Shed
Cypress Hill - Hits From The Bong
The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready To Die
Compton’s Most Wanted - Late Night Type
Freddie Gibbs - Crime Pays
Guru - No Time To Play
Armand Hammond - No Days Off
Gang Starr - Full Clip
ZielonySzparag
I see you with Madlib on the list 💯
Garbage artist
@@WolverineBeast86 Whoa not at all. Kendrick is one of the most gifted artists of this generation. Genius lyrics, virtuosic vocals and he really knows how to put an album together.
Gotta love how three of this top ten are from the same album. Damn, that Chronic 2001 is a timeless masterpiece.
Totally
Well because there arent to many guitar part beats
Those 3 licks are genius in their simplicity.
DPTavares that’s cause they were all written by the same producer
@@billybobbobson5346 Dre didn't write
them. They're sampled.
Lose yourself, by far the GOAT hip hop guitar riff. Hard to play the right way but you nailed it!
I was about to comment that Lose Yourself wasn't on the list and then you started playing the piano intro and I lost myself.
In the music, the moment, you better never let it go.
I miss Lil Wayne's guitar solo
you can visit Stevie T
guys he said funny joke cause lil wayne bad comedy zone laugh
He probably had trouble figuring out the hard parts 😊
James Blau ur not funny
@@abravexstove289
At least 200 other people including me think it was funny.
Tell me... What was not funny? Do you see Lil Wayne as an actual guitar player? Have you heard him play? Please tell me why you think that was not funny!?!
appreciated. love the fact talented musicians see the beauty in the raw uncut simple charcteristics and the effect of hip hop loops! salute!
"Rap Snitch Knishes" by MF Doom and Mr. Fantastik. Smoothest guitar line ever
I gotta say that there’s a lack of Beastie Boys
Gotta say, theres a lack of your knowledge of the beastie boys. You do know they originated as a punk group right?
@@xFATBOYDSIx What's your point? They were a hip hop group as well and featured a lot of guitar... some sampled but also original parts too.
My point is that beastie boys really dont need to be featured in this video mainly cause they almost always have guitar. RunDMC might be more suited. But beastie boys?
Luke Robinett Yeah that’s true. Makes sense. They were a lot more then just hip hop
Imagine sabatoge
Me: How many guitars you got?
Music is win: Yes
Bill Ma still no flying v though :(
Ugandan Commando Probably not... But i find jacksons king v guitsrs very beautiful. Gibsons flying v’s are horrible tho.
Me: How many guitars you got?
Music is win: All of them
I have a Jackson rhoads love it
a lot
Wow! These riffs are just AMAZING!!! I hope you will do lessons on at least half of them!
*comes home and doesn't even recognize his mom's spaghetti*
Jason Lieberman maybe because his palms were sweaty?
Goes home and blows his own daughter OH...
About 10 years before “lose yourself” was released I wrote a riff almost identical to it with just a few slight variations for a band I was in. It’s a shame nothing ever came of that band or that song.
Brian Cox I hear you man... you put it into the universe and someone else brought it to life it feels like. When I was a little kid my dad forced me to go grocery shopping with him one day instead of letting me stay home and play airsoft with my friends. So I said “this is dumb. You should just be able to call the grocery store and tell them everything you want and then they just deliver it to your house.” My dad said “yeah that’ll be the day” Now we have shipped and it feels like every grocery store does something similar... Smh
Let us hear it
Exact same thing happened to me with Stairway to Heaven
@@pepesilvia1924 same thing happened to the guy who wrote stairway to heaven
@J G hush champ
Thanks for being an actual musician and not bashing other styles just because you don't like them. Not big into hip hop myself, but I respect you more for making this video.
Fantastic, such an under represented guitar style on CZcams. Takes me back to 2000s
I enjoyed this video so much. While I primarily grew up on and play metal music on guitar, I have a genuine love and appreciation for hip hop music. Thank you for inspiring me! You're the best, man.
Excellent, you really nailed the feel of all of them. Also I like that you just cut right to it without feeling the need for an intro. Not that we don't like hearing you talk, just that some stuff is self-explanatory and not every CZcamsr gets that.
#1 has to be Lollipop by Lil Wayne
/uj no Beastie Boys tho
I was waiting for it
Funny how I was just watching a Jean Alter hentai and your DP shows u0
Al R i see u are a fellow circlejerker
@@christianvasquezmusic nothing beats a good toan
Beastie Boys aren't a hip-hop group honestly even though they have released some of the greatest hip-hop albums if not the greatest hip-hop album ever in terms of production and sampling with "Paul's Boutique."
Awesome vid. Hope there is a part two on the way a lot of great hip hop songs with guitar
I still love that first guitar. Nice job Tyler, solid list and well done.
2:53 sounds like shape of my heart-beginner's version.
Hey at least I didn't say lucid dreams
Eric Lee it was sampled so yeah
@@poperaisin Do they both sample the same song? Lucid Dreams sounds like a slightly different variation of it.
@@renoutlaw8371 they both sample Shape of my heart by Sting
@@renoutlaw8371 but it is right that Nas Version is more like the beginner version, Juice WRLD nearly copied the whole riff
Love those songs you played,Im a metalhead but damn love me some old school beats
The fact that you have Chonkeyfire up here gets you instant props from me buddy. Excellent video!
Outkast had a lot of guitar riffs in their music. Aquemini is masterpiece
I heard Chonkyfire and my head shot up and I got so excited haha, I love Outkast
Yeah man, when you hit chonkyfire, I was like yeah that's it.
The riff to Role Model by Eminem is criminally underrated imo
The best “The 10 best hip-hop guitar parts ever” ever.
Nas’ “message” is just a sample of the riff from “shape of my heart by Sting tho
I was gonna comment that, it seems he didn't know that huh
Yall do know that most of these riffs are sampled from other artists songs tho right?
Darwynne Thomas
... meaning this video is pointless
No doubt there is a lot of creative sampling in rap and hip hop, but there are plenty of original guitar parts and live bands too like The Roots, early Black Eyed Peas, Blackstar, Jurassic 5 etc. Most of Dre’s original hooks are played by Mike Elizando. Dang-now you made me have to go and look up every hook and obscure funk band on this vid just to make my point
Darwynne Thomas
Forgot about Dre-original
Ride wit me-original but influenced maybe by get down on it by kool and the gang
I just wanna love u-original played by omillio sparks
Shootyz groove-original
Mo money mo problems-Diana Ross’ I’m Coming Out
The next episode-David McCallum? The Edge
Message (+lucid dream and others-shape of my heart
Chonkyfire-original
Xxplosive-bumpy’s lament by Soul Mann and the Brothers
Lose urself-original by Jeff Bass
They made it sound different though
As always, an incredible guitar vid and funny af to boot
Yoo that was great bro. Ur talented my man
Immortal technique has some very great guitar riffs as well.
Revolutionary Vol 2 is one of my favorite albums ever.
-The 4th Branch
-Leaving the past
-Obnoxious
-Harlem Streets
-The Cause of death
-You never know (the story makes me cry)
Should we include Tim Henson and others hip hop covers?
Next: top 10 guitar parts in anime themes
Owh I'm going to love it!
He already did Dragon Ball and others, I don't remember how the video was titled.
Too many to count man. Japanese are killing it in the guitar department. They shred and have great melodies.
Anime is garbage!
@@Top10Dylan (Several people are typing...)
Thanks man I really enjoyed this!
this is great! first like i give u in a long time,
This video should've been called "a reason to show off all my guitars"
Lucky bastard..must be loaded😅
You can say that about all of his videos, essentially.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little jealous 😂
All of his videos. This guy sucks.
Good video but I think you forgot one important band....beastie boys licensed to ill (almost any song from that album). Keep up the good videos. Thank you
Does it count if the guitar part is played by Kerry King? I mean it seems like cheating. LOL
"Sabotage" as well.
Amazing the cool riffs used in these that go unsung.
Those string pads and the guitar melody really make for an intense but relaxed feel in Forgot About Dre, one of my favorite rap tracks from back in the day.
Im glad chonkyfire was included, gasoline dreams also has an amazing solo
I would add "it was a good day" by Ice Cube
JUST WAKIN UP IN THA MORNIN, GOTTA THANK GOD
@@icecreampimpdeux I DONT KNOW BUT TODAY SEEMS KINDA ODD
That is a sample from the Isley brothers (footsteps in the dark)
@@joshuaraymond207 didnt know that, thanks
That's was sampled from the isley brothers never mind someone beat me to it
Well done Ty. 🤘🏾
You're a great player! New fan here! Love your vids man
I know it's one of the original crossovers but Anthrax and Public Enemy doing "Bring the Noise" together is still the best!!
Cheers to OutKast, who's "hey ya" is still covered by acoustic artists everywhere to this day...I also like Nelly's "must be the money" or whatever it's called
The guitar part in “Metropolis” by logic is one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard. Awesome trills, very jazzy stuff. I think you’d dig it.
This is dope man!!
Devil In A New Dress - Kanye
Gorgeous - Kanye
Marijuana - Kid Cudi
All have amazing guitar parts, especially the solo in Devil In A New Dress
Devil in A New Dress is fantastic
No ghetto boys “my mind is playing tricks on me” ? y’all should check out that track and as a bonus for bass players...check out Eric b and rakim know the ledge.....great line
Idk how I just saw this now, but my respect for you just went through the roof!!
I was looking forward to this
devil in a new dress is missing :(
Amazing song
You should do a part 2 with suggestions from the comments. There are some really good ones here :*
Yes
This super-helpful for teaching!!
Great video!
Some good choices, especially Ride Wit Me, Mo Money Mo Problems and of course Lose Yourself.
A few other great ones are Rosa Parks by Outkast and Can't Let You Go by Fabolous
I feel like rapper delight could've been on here, it's kind if well known as one of the first rap songs
Great video!
I absolutely love all of these parts, and love 90s rap, but I’m surprised Apple Pie by Travis or King Kunta by Kendrick didn’t make the list
Edit: spelling
No one gives a shit about your edit error
@@buttertones there will always be that 1 person that says something about spelling
Bruh nfs I wish he put Kdot's "I" in there. That funky guitar riff is legendary.
Cristian Arreaga he's saying the guy should realise that and not be so self-conscious
Dope work 🔥
The way you color synced to the mood/song.. pretty cool
3:10 is really like shape of my heart
Whew i almost got r/whooshed there
Thanks, I was asking myself where this riff was used to. Now I know that Nas stole the hell outta sting
@@uralsons5687 😉
Right
@@uralsons5687 yeah Nas also did a really nasty dish record over "Desert Rose"
Hey Tyler you should look up Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi. There is a pretty awesome solo in that song
That first guitar is sick! Extreme beauty! Congratz!
Wow great inspiration. Rap and guitar thanks
Great beats man! But you forgot Suga Suga by baby bash!
The intro riff of Till I collapse is also pretty sick!
Vishwadeep Sonawane I think that’s actually strings but it’s my favorite rap song still
Edit: I meant synth not strings but it actually could be either
Vishwadeep Sonawane what about the solo from sing for the moment
I dig this bro !!!
You had smiling on that "Xplosive" you rock man! Thanks!
"My mind playing tricks on me" had a pretty good guitar part
Outkast has so many underrated guitar parts in their music especially on their greatest album "Aquemini." So fucking happy you included "Chonkyfire!"
I was happy to see someone acknowledge chonkyfire
Nice one to start the morning. Good stuff as always.
BTW, which PRS is that last one?
Interesting mix of gold and chrome hardware, kinda like a 25/50 Les Paul.
This is great!
Man this didn't have My Mind Playing Tricks on me, so it don't count.
Aaron Gosper came here to post this.
Yeah, one would assume Issac Fucking Hayes would get a little respect. Guess not.
Where’s the solo from “Sing for the moment”?
Very happy you included Chonky Fire. You've got some nice PRS guitars there bro.
This is fire🔥
The one by NAS seems exactly like shape of my heart but watered down
Michael that is what it is.
I started watching this video feeling pretty confident that Beautiful by Eminem would be here. But not disappointed by lose yourself taking the spot. Em had a lot of killer guitar parts \m/
I like how you stayed in character throughout.
Dark hat down low and all😅👏🏾
supreme work
So I guess we're living in a world where "No Sleep til Brooklyn" doesn't exist?
Beastie Boys started as a punk group and a big chunk of their shit has guitars in it already, so I wouldn't count em.
@kaleo well said
@@kaleocambra1643 Ehhhh they did make a Full sample heavy 'purist' rap album for there second outing that's considered up there with one of the best they ever released. So this whole 'started as a punk rock band' doesn't really count to much
Beastie boys had a huge impact/influence on hardcore/punk and hip hop. They are credited for both, so its hard to throw them in one category.
Kaleo Cambra
I thought this video was “best guitar parts in hip hop”, and the Beastie Boys are Hip Hop.
You missed “Mind Playin’ Tricks On Me” by the Geto Boys. G.O.A.T. Guitar riff in Hip Hop son!
This comment made me stop watching the video.
fletch31 i was sure this would make the top 10, if not number 1.
This needs a part two bruhh!
Love it!
Should have included: All Falls Down, Gorgeous, DEATHCAMP, Rapp Snitch Knishes , Hold my Liquor, Devil in a New Dress, My Name Is, i, King Kunta, Dear Mama, Today was a Good Day, or Losing my Balance
Who sings "i"?

Don’t post much but got to say that’s awesome!
Dre puff pharell and outcast are actual musicians you can tell from the beats they make so good.
Jeff Spokart absolutely, but chad hugo was responsible for the chords in neptunes tracks. pharrell did everything else
Gasoline Dreams, the solo from B.O.B.
The whole list could have been Outkast.
I Like your videos, we also see you here in mexico
Great and the same time very unusual topic for guitar videos
You’ve obviously never heard my rendition of master p’s bourbons and lacs.
...this is for the playas, hustlas, pimps and macs....
Was half-expecting Lil Wayne as a joke, lol.
@Kai McCook hes talking about lil waynes guitar playing
