- I have returned from the UK and now I bring you the main service elevators at the New York Marriott Marquis! These elevators serve floors -2, -1, 2, and 46! I didn't get off the elevator since I knew there would be staff members and possibly security wandering around.
- Zábava
I stayed in this hotel last night & one of the staff told me that level 2 was a “back” office along with a cafeteria exclusively for staff.
Just recently, the Broadway theaters and sporting event centers have been closed due to the coronavirus issue out there. I feel bad for travelers who flew back from NY, NJ, & CT got self quarantined for a couple of weeks. I think this is not my best time to fly anywhere since thousands of flights were cancelled.
that staff cafeteria does not surprise me. i have been in hospitals, schools, and nursing homes where the door to the staff break area is often locked
Epic Video!
These elevators serve every floor from -2 all the way up to 46 (except for floor 1 on elevators S & T). They serve 47 of the 51 floors (counting the basements), which is the most for any of the elevators in this hotel. Like the passenger elevators, these are Miconic 10.
It is very Rare that service elevators equipped with miconic
10
Do you like Preschool music?
Actually, on -2 there is actually a lot of doors and long hallways and rooms, but it is mostly an area for laundry and clothes (laundry room). It was on a channel called something like “Uplifting Jersey” before it got removed.
7 is the floor just below the lobby, & it's the Astor ballroom.
I always thought that level 2 would be skipped in this hotel, but it isn't!
L2 is reserved for staff and management offices.
Passenger elevators skips this floor
How do you access these? I’ll be staying here in a week or so and also wonder if they have freights.
In floor -2 has calefonts to heat the water of the bathrooms of the guest rooms.
I would want to hear it say “take car Q, R, S, T, U, and V" 28 - 45 construction July 1, 2019 open 2019!
Big Bird and Snuffy were some of my favorite fictional characters. Do you like Big Bird and Snuffy?
Why don't you do a full machine room tour when you revisit there?
I think boiler rooms are usually placed on the lowest level of the building, so then it is possible for -2 to have a boiler room.
Dream Big Productions/Plush Bat Fan Are you teasing me? Do you like to tease?
There are lots of restricted floors in this hotel. I would not risk going into the staff/service corridors and ended in lots of trouble.
@john o'connor
Lol, I don’t tease all the time. I was permanently booted out from all New York casinos; this is neither a tease nor a prank at all. I self-excluded from ALL New York casinos due to huge gambling losses in the past plus not wagering responsibly. There are casinos in New York, the house is the winner.
I would want to hear it say “take car R”.
MallGuy89 Haha! I always want to as well. I never got to hear it when I visited though.
Are these the same speed as the high rises there? (28-45)
They are slower than the high rise elevators. I’d say they are the same speed as the low rise except these serve every floor.
Yup. All the way up to 46 (it's 51 stories high).
0:48 2nd floor is possibly staff offices (why not like 55th/49th floor does with the Marriott logo on the doors)
Can you make more of these
Are there any other stations you will be exploring. One I recommend is the abandoned city hall station. But be cautious becase trains circle around
Not anytime soon after "the incident" in January. I do not want to explain what happened.
Possibly next year I could do the 91st Street subway station.
MTA Explorer that’s cool. So happy I didn’t have to explore these floors myself ;)
gamereric21 You can always explore them. I never actually got off of those floors (other than 46). Sometimes it’s good to have a personal experience of something right? ;)
@@metropolitanelevators hey, you have never explored the 48 floor, and is 51 the top floor?
I think floor 51 actually is. Metropolitan Elevators has posted a video of the elevator machine room on a 51st floor.
2:59 If you press the handicap
Beep. Four. Six. Take Car T. Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep. Car T. Doors Open. Car T. Doors Closing.
U should try handicap mode
(Click handicap button then the floor it’s more fun)
He didn’t do it so he wouldn’t be caught
2:38 a panel that is not like a passenger One as it doesn't say the information like: enter destination floor and go to elevator assigned above.
Cuz the staff aren’t stupid and they know how to get on them
0:32 --> Sub-basement (Floor B)
0:53 --> 2nd floor (The main elevators don't stop here)
1:12 --> 46th floor
1:39 --> Basement (Floor A)
1:54 --> 1st floor (Car S and possibly Car T don't serve this floor for some reason)
The door sounds like a swinging door.
2:38 If you press the handicap.
Beep. Two. Take car S. Beep, Beep, Beep. Car S. Doors Open. Car S. Doors Closing.
The service lifts here don't say Doors Closing according to CVE9120
What's the sound effect for car s?
Have you been back since the mod, I wasn't even able to call these anymore. They are locked off it seems.
I haven’t been to the service elevators since the mod. I’m pretty sure they’re locked off now but each floor can be accessed from the buttons inside the fire panel.
On -1... car N and P are there too (M and O maybe be on this floor)
Do you like Elmo?
Yes, M & O serve the -1st floor too.
Car N,M B1-45
Car O, P B1-27
2:52 If you press the handicap.
Beep. Minus. One. Take Car S. Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep. Car S. Doors Open. Car S. Doors Closing.
What's on the sub-basement and basement floors?!
Restricted for staff only.
The 2nd floor has a red door frame, making it look like a fire elevator.
2:38 You should use the handicap
What’s really the point for the handicap button not used often
There are NYC hotels that are closed recently due to the Coronavirus issue out there.
@@plushbatfan no what is the point for the handicap button on the keypad it's pretty much useless.
@Albert J.
I got permanently banned from all New York Casinos since over two years ago.
Two years late, but it's there for ADA compliance.
@@DJSpinSter2004 Yes, and for people with disabilities, such as partially blind, deaf, etc... (but not both) It wasn't used much by most people because of that I mentioned.
46 is a staff area

What's on the second floor?!
An office and a staff cafeteria.
Jesus Christ, when you were at 2 .

Do you like Barney the Purple Dinosaur?
Dream Big Productions/Plush Bat Fan Why the hell are you asking this?
I like kiddie music, do you?
Dream Big Productions/Plush Bat Fan You like it because you're a child. Nobody cares. And to my answer, I don't.
I hate Barney!
- 1 & -2
There is a -2 at this hotel?!?!?! I knew there was a -1.
Snuffy and Big Bird live down in basement two!
@@plushbatfan just shut up please
@@plushbatfanThat would be crazy and funny if Snuffy and Big Bird actually did live down there!
Why is this panel open? Shouldn't it be closed? How did you get into the service elevator? Wtf
Barney the Purple Dinosaur rode those elevators!
@@plushbatfan no just be quiet
@@plushbatfan Not true. Useless information.
Youre still in car U? Oh man
What is at -1?
Elmo’s World!
Dream Big Productions/Plush Bat Fan No, the negative 1st level is not Elmo’s World!
@@plushbatfan no shut up
The 1st basement is luggage storage.
What did the woman say at 1:40-1:45?
Something about Barney the Purple Dinosaur! Barney the Dinosaur went there!
Dream Big Productions/Plush Bat Fan Did he really go into this hotel?
@john o'connor
Yes, I said those things about Sesame Street because I like children music and children shows. Do you like to listen to children music and watch Children shows? Now, my favorite songs are “Go in and out the window” & “She’ll be coming ‘round the mountain.”
@@plushbatfan no shut up
@@plushbatfan no please GROW. UP.
me dijieron que en roblox Marriot Marquis que no había pisos de de elevadores de servicio no habia piso 2-47-13 pero si havia el piso 1
You need guards permission before enter staff elevator.
oops
Where can you find the Guards, anyway?
Hey,can you go to The Floor 47, Because Car G Can go to 47th Floor
This is car u when he ride
Car G when go 47 but is staff area, And now car F and G service 47th floor
What is CCC meaning
idk
What about 9?
Temple 92 9 is not really a secret floor. It can be publicly accessed by going to cars F and G and entering 9 in the keypad. Alternatively, I think there is an escalator on this floor you can take from the 8th floor. If there is no escalator, and the floor on the elevators is locked, then there’s always the stairs.
Actually, I just stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and cars A, E, H and L serve the floor too! You can watch it in my new hotel tour video (9th floor is at 28:54): m.czcams.com/video/fqyAIkfLkcw/video.html
Just a note: the elevators will not stop at 9 after 5pm.
@@svc945bsoeI guess all elevators that serve the 9th floor actually stop on that floor at anytime now.
2:37 Why you don't use the handicap???
If I remember correctly, handicap mode didn’t work on the service cars. It never said “Take Car X” nor did the lantern light up. It was pretty disappointing and is also why it’s not included in the video.
@@metropolitanelevators I know that Car V works the handicap, but I'm not sure if the other cars work the handicap mode.
Not exist floor 2 at Marriot Marquis
On the service innovators that floor does exist it's just a secret floor
What's on 46th floor?!
Well, it’s probably a service floor for staff only.
Car F serves it as well at a non-Miconic 10 elevator.
@@svc945bsoe Maybe need permission before enter staff area.
Right now on the 46th floor, Car F is now PORT
Where are cars P, Q, R, and S?
And T, and what is the highest letter of elevator cars, and how many cars would that be?
Jamestube 8439 W X Y and Z don’t exist
@@zulithern Car V is the Valet Parking shuttle cab that has the rounded shaft and is outside. It is hydro and only serves the 2 underground parking floors. It has an EPCO key switch and requires a key to call it. I tried to ride it but I couldn't.
Dude chill out! I am not making it up! If u don’t believe me why don’t u go visit the place again and see for yourself. If you actually have been to the Marriott Marquis u would know what I’m talking about otherwise I would rethink ur response coz it sounds like u never been there
And the letters U-Z do not exist
Not T
oooo
2:39 floor 2 a secret floor and Car A to Car L not sẻvice floor 2
Actually, elevator cars M, N, O and P do not serve floor 2 either.
Only cars Q, R, S, T, U and V serve that floor.

Why are you being childish and using service elevators and panels meant for emergencies?
