First of all, Donald and his team agreed to the debate 2 days prior to offset momentum Kamala gained. Second, Donald was aware Kamala would not be present. Third, Donald was over an hour and a half late to the stage because he did not want to be fact checked. That was the backdrop before the whole debacle interview even began. Keep all that in mind if you watch it back again. It gives you a different perspective on his responses.

Agreed on how Rachel Scott had to endure. "Not in our house!" should have been the mantra of that moment. I'm done with watching black pain be the pawn in political chess. I think the NABJ needs to reexamine their mission and purpose. Our Black community has no use for organizations that are unfocused and unprepared. I was unfamiliar with the NABJ before. I’m sure there are many like me, who were sorely disappointed and were left with a very negative impression of the leadership. They had opportunity to highlight their relevance in our community, unfortunately after this , I’m not sure they are.

That was a missed opportunity to really expose this fool. Larry Wilmore, Kenon Thompson, JB Smoove, Chris Rock, Michael Che and many others would have been friendly to Donald and made him feel comfortable. They would have interviewed him and let him make a fool of himself and they would steer that for big laughs. He would leave happy and wanting to do more TV with any of them until much later on when he figures out he was clowned. He said out loud that he didn't want to see Black dealers in his casinos. AGAIN - looking on from outside US - I understand how members would take decision to host disrespectful Trump personally and need to have answers to NABJ's weaknesses on event with fact checking on the spot etc. Eg. Roland made a good point suggesting NABJ president should've taken the mic to address the 1st set of lies re: late start etc and stop it if necessary. I also appreciate balanced feedback by this lady in pink eg. acknowledging Faulker's (1) useful question.
