I get selling him high, but the upside to a player like him in the system the dolphins run, there’s not many better situations for young explosive RBs.
I don't think it's hate, it's more of can he actually do it for a FULL year with out getting injured, plus he's never gonna be a workhorse back. Why wouldn't you sell him high while you can
He’s an obvious sell high candidate. I’m not sure 8 YPC is repeatable and it feels inevitable he will be missing time every season with injuries and his size
It probably just depends on your roster. If you have a pretty reliable competitive starting lineup, I’d throw him in the flex and live with it.
I was full in on Achane last year, but he is an obvious sell high now. He is likely an injury risk at his size, his efficiency has to come down and the Dolphins aren't going to run for 34 TDs again. He is being drafted way to high like he is gping to take another leap and it is very unlikely that will happen

@@connor3722 Prior year production does not guarantee anything moving into the future. Nacua's QB and coach could easily change moving forward and I do not believe he is as situation proof as Marv based on the talent each of them possess. I hope the trade works out for you but I'm just saying I would roll with the generational talent.

Yeah and you could use that 2.04 to go get the RB1 in this class (if you like a guy) if you're worried about losing RB positionally

What would be a good trade down target for selling ETN? I don’t trust that his role as a workhorse is secure and I want to get out. I could go across positions too but that leaves me weak in my rb depth as Etn is rb 3. I’ve thought b-Rob plus a first. Not sure if that gets done though. What do yall think? Or should I hold through the draft and see?
ETN will be the guy as long as he stays healthy, bigsby is not good and if the jags draft a rb it’ll be late and will likely not be good, keep etn
@@malvo5190 you would think so but they have said many times they want another back, and they have shown that by drafting tank. So either they think he is good enough to spell him more or they draft someone to spell ETN more. Either way I don’t think Etn finishes top 5. So if I can sell him at top 5 price that’s better. But I’m not entirely confident

In a single qb league I traded Garrett Wilson and the 1.8 for Aiyuk and the 1.3.

Likely not. Maybe if you have a glaring hole at WR or QB, but if you do, are you really a contender this year? When you have the opportunity to win a championship, you gotta switch gears, prioritize production over trade value, the trick is knowing when to switch back.
@@derekbowen5820 yeah i have Breece & Barkley. My team really is a WR factory. With Kyler, Geno & Kelce i am good at QB & TE. To replace Breece with Warren, Allgeier or Mattison feels like a huge downfall even with the 1.01 in my pocket. Everybody will know that i need a new RB and will use this against me in trade negotiations.
Try to sell Breece for 1.03 plus a (preferably early) 2nd. Nabers is going to be safer than breece, long (and maybe even short) term even if you have a deep WR room. You can always flip for RB when you need to. The reason I say this also is because you can take a swing with that 2nd on a top back in this class and then also get out of the uncertainty of the Jets with Rodgers and that OL
No one is contending in April, it's all about accumulating value. If you can get the 1.01 for one of those guys in a SF league, flip that 1.01 for a top RB plus some!

I understand it’s a bet and there is no “right” answer until it proves out, but with Puka I still fall back on the idea that with any of your 1st round WR picks what are you hoping they show their rookie year to make you feel good? Is it maybe having the best rookie WR season ever? Puka did it, he showed you. Sure he could (will) regress this season, but the odds of him showing us something we don’t like has to be lower than someone who hasn’t even had a snap yet. I don’t know what I’m not seeing.

I can see the argument that Puka may have hit his ceiling or close to it whereas the value associated with the pick could be Williams, whose ceiling could be the #1 player overall in a year or two.

I generally like your guys videos but some of the stuff you guys were saying doesn’t make sense. You said you have puka ranked over MHJ at 1.02 but you should trade puka for the 1.02 because the community likes the 1.02 better. Wouldn’t this be a reason to buy puka if you like him better than something that’s more expensive? You could sell the 1.02 and get puka plus something small on top like a 2nd or a veteran RB. If you like puka more but you sell him for the 1.02 what are you hoping to do? Draft MHJ who’s lower in your rankings? Trade for a stud (I feel like you’d still be trying to trade for someone around puka😅) I feel like it’s just better to keep puka at that point😬

I take the approach of taking a proven player over an unsure rookie that has a 30-40% bust potential. So if this video was inverted, I would’ve agreed- respectfully
This is not a video intended to predict busts/hits. It is a video about playing the market. If you want to see our "trade these picks for these players" video, we did that one a couple weeks ago!
I would do the complete opposite tbh.
The bust rate is high every year and you can still get some gems in the 2nd/3rd anyways.
Buy top tier talent with your picks and give the risk to the owners living off the hype. Can it bite you in the ass? Absolutely. Is it much safer and increase your chance at winning championships (which is what you should aspire to anywyas)? 100%
We're not really in the business of predicting busts because we aren't professional scouts. We are in the business of market value and playing the market in Dynasty. You're never stuck with the player you pick in the rookie draft.
While some of these players may get the draft pick you are suggesting, most of these are extremely unrealistic unless dealing with 1st or 2nd year dynasty players

It’d be easy to quantify the historic season Brock’s had and go what percentage of top 5 QBs have hit major benchmarks like rating and YPA and you probably get a lower number like 2-5%. The open ended range allows you to factor Brock’s situation, era relativism

Saying Purdy has value mostly because of where he plays just shows a lack of research. No one in a decade has put up the numbers in every category. In 5 years his value will be higher than any QB in this draft .
His team situation helped his play/production that’s all I meant by that. He’s in the best situation possible.

Bills aren’t gonna draft a running back that will compete with Cook. They might draft one in the later rounds but it won’t hurt James cook at all. He’s gonna be the Bills workhorse, especially with Diggs getting traded.

I remember last year when there was no chance CMC could increase in value
his adp was exactly the same year over year per DLF dynasty superflex adp. he had THAT season and did not in fact increase in value.
its really not hard to do research on that man.
Players can only do 3 things-
1. Play better and get older
2. Play worse and get older
3. Play the same and get older
CMC isn’t going up in value bc he’s doing option 3. But when his level of playing the same is scoring 999999 points and increasing my chance of winning by a ton, why would a contending team ever sell other than out of boredom or fear? I think the video just needs to be more specific and tell people when selling makes sense and when it doesn’t, because some teams definitely don’t need CMC. Even if the value is there, it’s shaky advice for me to sell my RB1 for a potentially good WR if I have no plan to get RB production elsewhere.
