I did this the same day that the prepatch was launched on PTR, and I got ported away from dragonblight almost instantly. i think this is still the case on PTR, but havent checked since
The problem with the Naxx port is that Naxx disappears when the pre-patch hits, so you'd have to keep your character logged off for the entirity of the pre-patch.
The reason why doing dailies in prepatch is still lucrative is because it's a level 70 quest and max char level is level 70. All the EXP that quest provides AT level 70 is turned into extra gold. But once WOTLK is released, that level 70 quest gives the normal quest gold + EXP again, which goes toward leveling your char to a new max level of 80. And once you get to level 80, if you go back to level 70 dailies, you still get the quest gold, but the amount of EXP it would give is non-existent, since it's a level 70 quest and you're level 80, and thus you don't get bonus gold
Dailies give no experience as far as I remember, no ? Even if I prepare 25 quests in advance to WOTLK's launch, I won't receive exp to jumpstart my journey to 80. Is that so really ?
@@SuperYtc1 Have fun transferring out in 3 months when your server has either died or swung so massively toward the other faction to where there's like 5 of your faction playing and a billion on the other. The fresh realms are a great idea but aren't going to be worth it in the long run. Also everyone did this when expacs launched? It was normal for people to cap dailies to get an xp boost at the start.

Also a T5-Warrior-Tank nearly outmatched me in DMG. So fury is really disappointing in my opinion during Pre-Patch compared to other classes. :´-( (For Reference a Sunwell-Retribution Paladin in the same Karazhan Group dealt 3.5k DPS)

I think they fixed Protector Tabard, i can't see the dark portal event, and I have checked daily since prepatch started. They also added a interesting bug with Soul of Iron achievement randomly popping on level 60 players. Even on DKs that have done quick lvl 60 on their character. Some report that they got the achiev even after multiple deaths. It is a bug, but nonetheless GET IT.

I don’t understand the mention of warriors. Dps testing has already been done for all specs in the pre patch with full raid buffs over a 3 min duration and they were one of the lowest out of them all… Both ScottyJ and Metagoblin done the testing. Each have a video of it in action of all specs. This was in full Phase 5 BIS for each spec. Warrior was tried with both glaives and two Apolyon’s. Nearly all other dps did more than warriors. They beat Feral and that’s about it.

The pre-patch tabard for Wrath is *different* that the Naxxramas event tabard from Classic, although very very similar. the Wrath tabard has no 'on use' effect as I recall and looks slightly different.

@@decimus81 It's been off of the PTR for awhile until just recently. That's what the video was referring to. Joyous Journeys + WotLK talents is available to test for optimizing your leveling path early on
@@GrandAdmThrawn Optimizing is part of the fun for a lot of players, the quicker you can get to max level progressing your character, the better. Nothing beats being one of the first people out of the starting zone.

Gosh in so overwhelmed to get my lvl 55 to 70 before release. My main got auto transferred so its reset to level 1 for like another week i guess cause of server merge so i cant even play.
Will SoM characters be eligible for xfer during prepatch? That may be the reason they are doing the TBC prepatch event - so that SoM players have a chance to go through it.
1.5x is not that fast tho still almost a Blizzlike. 3-4x rate is kinda fast but still takes some time (lot of privates have this usually linked to refer a friend exp) then you have 7x servers which yeah I don't even see point in that rather make it instant as you will lack gear, gold for spells, driving etc..

Id take prot/revenge spam over arms early but you do you.
Totally, dpsing with revenge when nothing is hitting you to proc revenge is super op.
Warriors will probably do less dps than they are doing now. They (we) are going to get smoked by locks and boomkins with crazy talents.

Naxx will move from EPL when WOTLK hits. So the entrance will be gone.
That is why you have to log off in Nax the night before.

The 50% exp boost is available on the PTR now! You can clear Elwynn Forest in an optimized path in about 40-45 minutes. It's insane!

This is talking about fully geared Fury warriors at lvl 70 with Wrath talents during Prepatch. Not level 80 warriors at the start of Wrath.
