It’s awesome how you carry the knowledge from a previous job to doing another job the same. You done a cracking job Chris always learning on the next job. One hell of a hard working bloke you are Chris. Love the video 👍👏🇨🇦💕
Always use original hoses in booms Chris . They are made with thicker hose and hold there shape better when fully extended. . They do cost a fortune but been stung before too many times .
In future chris for swapping removing boom hoses - Disconnect all the hoses at the front of the boom - Attach a long bit of rope to the end of each hose (ideally longer than each hose) - pull them all out of the back of the boom - disconnect them under the boom then pull them out from under the boom - attach new hoses to the rope that's coming out under the boom and pull them through one by one from the back using the rope until it comes out the back - do this for each one - then pull on the rope at the front of the boom to pull each hose through one by one making sure they slide through the guide at the back of the boom in the correct place Saves removing the boom 👌
As soon as I saw the job, I thought about the D&J version you did of the smaller machine, bloody good job Lill's was there to point you in the right direction
Absolutely brilliant video as always Chris!! I’ve even got my Mum & Dad and Wife watching you now 🤠 You bring happiness into everyone’s lives around you mate. You’re an absolute legend and a true grafter!! I really hope I can meet you in person one day 🤞 All the best to you, Mum & Dad and all the family mate 🙏🤠
Wow this is awsome! I just did this same job on my channel 😃. You had a much easier time getting out than I did. I love your channel, always a bloody good show! Thanks for struggling for us✌️
Great video Chris and great content You, Sean and Lee were so funny Chris I was a telehandler driver and mate that bit you called the wee bit you should of put back on because when the arm is fully boomed out and then you bring it back in that part guides the pipes so they stay straight and it stops them from curling up and getting pinched between the boom and it's cover. As normal Chris it was a bloody good show ye it was, See you on the next one Chris Whoop whoop
Hi Chris. Another great video. You mentioned the fuel that the generators would consume. I will give you the calculation What you do is take the KVA multiple x0.8 that’s it now KW multiply that x0.27 that’s full load fuel consumption for 4 pole 1500 rpm generator. Eg. 100 kva x0.8 x0.27 =21.6 that’s max fuel consumption full load. To get full load take KVA plus 40% that’s full load eg 100kva plus 40% v140 amps per phase full load. That was long winded for your info 😂😂😂😂🏴Raymond ex retired generator sales rep🏴🏴
oh wow that looks like a fun job haha what a nightmare need a lot of patience fitting those pipes. The plate must be there for from stopping the arm going out too much maybe. So it does not exceed its limit that's what I'm guessing . But I dont blame you not putting it back in what a crap job to put it back in how would you do it haha. Love watching your videos keep on struggling on whooo whoo :)
Chris you young chappy..... You can do them pipes with boom in place, undo at head end tie rope to.....pull out back of boom. Then take of "U" pipes in pull completely out. To fit..... reverse order, pulling new pipes to back with rope then to front with rope..... Try a 17mtr JCB with 3 booms😭😭😭
chris i came across you bye mistake a while ago now a i did a bad thing and thought you was a boge and scarper guy.... after watching you for the content i gotta say sorry, you are the best at the job and the knowledge is crazy. i try not to miss an episode nowadays yr amazing
Think you will find that block you left out goes on the inside of the boom to secure the pipes, under the ram not the outside as you both fitted, previous misfits might have fitted it the way you tried, but yes it is needed to guide the hoses, would hang onto it for next time, which is why the metal pipes got bent by that rack floating around, that’s crazy the way them Quick Release Couplings (QRC) held in.
Bloody good struggle 💪💪like how you was laughing all the way through that job😂😂seem a good bunch of lads👍has the dog gone soft?🐕keep up the brilliant struggles 👍👍💪💪
I can see metal in the eye again soon , think it’s time to remind you how much pain you was in last time , you only get a pair please look after them 😅
Hey Chris I work on this type of equipment a lot. And the hoses are too long but there's too much play in the rear boom wear pads that's what's causing the hose to rub and fail.
The power generators are gas powered turbines which boost the supply to the grid when all the fabulous “Green” energy fails us because there isn’t enough day light, too much or too little wind
