whenever i see mosley-no matter if he gets 80-i cant forget that performance vs margarito...he wopped that ass so bad...
Or when he had Floyd Mayweather on queer street but couldn't finish him off while the window to do so was open. Too bad too, as Floyd spent the next 10 rounds schooling him.
@@jlongobardy1612relax buddy, give Mosley the credit he deserves. He was damn near 40 years old when he fought Floyd and went the distance and was the only fighter in history to buckle Floyd’s knees and nearly knock him out.
@@sidd9150 That's not true. Both Chop Chop and Judah buckled Floyd. It's boxing; you're going to get hit by guys who can wallop.
@@jlongobardy1612 Chop Chop stunned not buckled Floyd and Judah never stunned or buckled Floyd, what Judah did was a near flash knockdown, as you can see Floyd was caught off balance. Mosley is the only one that buckled Floyd to the point where his knees bent and his head spun to the other side, that was the only time he was truly hurt in his career (Floyd says this in a interview) but instead of panicking he kept calm. So I give props to both, Mosley for being the only fighter to ever truly hurt Floyd; and Floyd for remaining composed.

Shane is too jittery and relies too much on reflexes witch is bad at his age he doesnt know how to break a fighter down he fightes in light sprints then bcks off this makesu appreciate floyd soo much more
Mosely needs to work that pivot a little more on Porter but good job avoiding the shot gun jab. There is a difference between elite guys like Mosely and average boxers. He needs to slip then pivot to get that overhand right in I saw him landing that overhand right more towards the end. Mosley still got that pop I see.
Great footage, Mosley has speed, but not much pop in the punches... Great head movement though.
Porter has a great jab, and for 147 fighter, this guy is strong. But his style tailor made for Mayweather, that come forward style ends up with a straight right hand to land which makes a fighter shy to throw a combination again.

If y'all would really Know anything about boxing I wouldn't be seeing all this shit saying Mosley whooped Shawn or Shawn whooped Mosley . this is sparring OK nobody wins or loses in sparring ......sparring is to work on your craft and skill it's practice if this was a real fight it would be totally different and they would both be prepared
i know its only sparring and porter is not trying to hurt mosley but he is still a beast at this age, if not injuired he can beat alot of guys today

Yo I'm surprised this video was put out. Usually they don't put sparring videos especially two fighters in this caliber. Porter is a good tough rugged fighter but that won't work against a good boxer like Floyd, Lara, or especially hard hitting Errol spence with his head leaning down. At same time I'm not saying those fights are probable right now.

both lookt good in there...styles do make fights and shane alwayz hits his opponents with the types of shots they dont see...i could see shane beating porter in a prize fight and vise versa...mosley should get thru mayorga but garcia provodnikov matheysse are problems for both these cats.

Idk what yall were watching. Shane was picking him apart. Landing at a much higher percentage. A lot cleaner and more pop. And is one of the few boxers with power and the experience to evade, smother, and make porter pay for his missed punches. The styles favor mosley but he's looking pretty good for an old man.
Mosley is a HOF and an elite champion. Shawn was a decent world champion but nothing special. Porter smothers his punches, telegraphs, slow feet, he would stiffen up when uncomfortable and sometimes couldn’t pull the trigger. Shawn had already been a former world champion at this point and wasn’t some prospect coming up which made this sparring even more telling. Mosley is on another league compared to Porter.
Shane's is sucking for air like a fish out of water 9:25, but good diversity for the up and coming.

Why the hell is Shane still fighting? Boxing Officials, doctors and promoters should be ashamed of themselves. That man was a great fighter and fighting in the ring is no place for him anymore. Just look at him. He's less than half the man he used to be.

Mosley isn't establishing range, and maintaining the jab at all. He was talking about how he feels reborn, and like he could be anyone right now, but after 7 seconds I stopped believing that. Porter would have stopped him in an actual fight. Mosley waits too much.

Shane needs to change his style. He cannot fight the way he used to fight. He's old now and needs to focus on more effective punches. More punches to the body. And a attack focused on using that left hook more often.

I know it's just sparring, but the fact that this version of Sugar Shane could handle Porter shows that he is not on that top level of fighters. Pacquiao would have destroyed him. Porter has good cardio, solid speed, very good chin, but skill-wise he's not up there and does not have the power to make up for it.
