Platinum stake: you can have reverse tarot cards that cannot be sold/can be sold for -1 dollar each
The balance happens after your jokers process. Runner was giving +200 chips whereas campfire was multiplying 32 by 3.5, effectively adding 80 mult. After balancing runner was way more valuable than anything else on that run unless you got hack to retrigger spades for you.
I'm losing my mind. That was turn 1 runner.
3 Stages of Type A Chatter:
1. Get frustrated at the misplays
2. Get frustrated at getting frustrated
3. Become a Type B chatter and enjoy the goofs

NL throwing away the Runner that was keeping him alive killed me lmao. He forgot that chips = mult with plasma. So Runner was like 10x as valuable as that fortune teller.
I'm a bit confused, doesn't the plasma deck make it so you shouldn't worry about adding chips at all? since both sides will be evened out so it should be prioritizing getting the highest mult. or am i thinking about it incorrectly lol
@@Breadward_MacGluten They way to think about it is you are looking get maximize the value of chips + mult instead of the typical chips X mult. So generally, if you are looking at something that adds flat mult vs chips then whichever value is higher is the better way. If you have times mult that rule breaks but for non-endless runs generally it doesn't benifit you to look for high mult and lots of chip jokers are the way to go.
@@Breadward_MacGluten So chips are super good in the early game with plasma, its very easy to get jokers or foil effects that give 50+ chips, which in a way translates to 25 mult. The problem that NL has is that he doesn't realize there is a cutoff point for plasma deck - 100 chips is awesome early and will carry you through the first few antes, but when you get better mult synergies then all of a sudden some of your jokers can add hundreds or thousands of mult at a time, and since they're both balanced chips just totally fall off.
If you have 4-5 jokers that can synergize into a strategy well, you should totally ignore chips anymore because the deck will completely cover you on chips, but making a pivot into all mult can be challenging. Step 1 is for NL to realize there needs to be a pivot in the first place, I guess.
@@Breadward_MacGlutenplasma deck makes them even out so you just keep whatever is easier to scale because you just want larger numbers.

If you're wondering,the score in the last round us coming from arrowhead. Turning them all into clubs removed 250 chips and like 100k points because of how plasma deck works.
It was roughly 60k points loss

I think CZcams videos are generally older than the stream ones, but also, there's no chat to deride him for misplays, so he sort of just vibes instead of at least somewhat trying to optimize his play.

Arrowhead and smeared joker were doing way more of the heavy lifting that run bc they was giving 250 chips per hand, which is 125 mult and 125 chips.
each hand usually ended with roughly 300-400 chips and mult by the end. I think what you want with the plasma deck is some way to produce a ton of chips bc they end up being more plentiful than mult. I don't know if multipliers go after chips and mult are balanced, but if they don't, then polychrome and other mult multers are basically usless.

The best strategy that I've found for Plasma Deck so far is to focus on JUST chips or JUST mult. (Really I've only ever built for max chips with this deck) and it basically just carries you through the whole run. That and plenty of planet cards.

23:52 me when NL complains about not being able to purchase the polychrome joker that he skipped for (there’s value in seeing the shop and getting money from unplayed hands even if the base 3 dollars aren’t there)
In my opinion straight builds kinda pop because of the risk. When you're running straights and don't draw the right card you're left with a straight garbage hand though. At least with 5 of a kind when you fail to draw your hand you get 4 of a kind that's still pretty good. Flushes are good because instead of hoping to draw the 1 in 13 for the right card type it's a 1 in 4 for the suit, and the fact that they score the same is wild to me
There are more straights in a deck of cards then there are flushes technically
@@turntech4776 There are more straights but when you have 3 or 4 cards it's more likely to draw off suit than off card, since you don't know which way that straight could be going
