★History of the Ascot tie and Style
The Ascot tie is thought to originate from mid-19th century neckwear called Cravat or Stock-tie. It seems that it was originally called "Plastron" in France, but then the name "Ascot tie" was born in England, and that name seems to have had more influence and spread.
In its original traditional form, it was wrapped around the outside of the shirt collar like a tie. It is said that since the 20th century, a casual and sporty style of wearing with the shirt buttons open and the tips of the tie tucked inside has become popular.
Strictly speaking, there is an opinion that the latter style is called an "ascot scarf" to distinguish it from an "Ascot tie." This style is often seen at modern Japanese weddings. Dress codes change over time, but the rules for formal wear are becoming more casual and vague.
I hope for a future where there is a balance between enjoying traditional style and freely enjoying fashion. I hope this video gives you some ideas for your future clothing style.
