演唱部分其實是第二段。原第一段裏説的是物質上的國家（英國），這片中的第二段講的其實是教會（there's another another country另一個國家）。這也就不難解釋爲什麽歌詞中說在此生數不了她的軍隊（天使）也見不了她的國王（耶穌），壁壘是信心，苦難是榮耀（福音中說基督徒以為信仰受苦爲榮），“靈魂使光環更亮”這句中的bounds是邊界，領地的意思，也就是説信徒不斷入教，擴張這個“國家”的邊界。最後兩句是引用舊約裏箴言3：17的句子：Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace
