Mm if visiting Limerick, do go to the excellent Hunt Museum there. Not connected with hunting, it is named after the original owner who collected many interesting world items (its a bit like the famous Burrell one in south Glasgow).

the works that you saw is that of the new bus eireann bus stops the future of limerick is when the limerick to Foynes line re omens there will be a new platform bult for that line but also galway station is going to get a missive rebuild

It's great and all... but why in the name of got do they use the class 2880 commuter train for an intercity journey... the trip time could be nearly halved if they used one of their proper intercity trains that do 160km/h
The funny thing is, i went to galway in November 2022, and i was on one of the intercity trains (dunno, which is exactly cause I wasn't into trains back then)
Not sure why they use the 2880 🤔 but there. is supposed to be new trains for all lines under the All Ireland rail plan by 2050 😓

Galway train/bus station is a filthy place. On one of the busiest Saturdays the disgusting toilets were yet again out of order. The number of children and elderly people having to walk into the city to go to a cafe or pub to use the toilets is truly shocking. Even the waiting room was closed. A lot of very, very, very lazy people working in that station. The whole public transport system is a mess with people on big salaries not providing any service. Shameful.
Thanks for you comment and I have to say I agree with you 100% it is a shame that Galway, and I can also certainly say Mallow, Toilets are a absolute disgrace, as I know Irish rail social media representatives view this channel they might take notice of these comments if they want to boost numbers on Irish rail public transport.For such a affluent country we should be ashamed when a place Like London, with such a high population can keep the toilets and trains clean.I can't understand why we can't do the same anyway I better stop as I could go on for ever.🤯
