Been getting into to more comics the past year or so.... could you explain in a short version i havent heard that term. But my lineup would be colosus, cyclops, storm, gambit (because hes been rumored for so long), jean grey, and iceman (been reading him a bit) i dont see wolverine being cast off rip i see him being incorporated in like the 2nd movie or in between the 2nd and 3rd to build on other things of his story fiege never got to tell
@@steelerscountry422 the “Fastball Special” is when Colosus throws Wolverine at enemies. Good choices but for me, I would go with my lineup which had the most iconic storylines in my opinion. I refer my five as the Big 5, that should always be on the team. Favorite all time is the international team with:
Cyclops, Wolverine, Colosus, Nightcrawler, Banshee, Thunderbird, Storm & Sunfire.
That does make any sense to not have the original X-men.
I’d love to finally see Jean, Scott, Bobby, Hank, and Warren (maybe Sean, Lorna, and Alex) in their own movie first, and then add Logan, Ororo, Kitty, Kurt, Peter, and Anna Marie after that. Won’t happen but 🤷🏻♂️

Not Storm though, go with IceMan and instead of calling her Jean Grey call her Marvel Girl. Start from the beginning for real for real. They could build so much off of that.

The OG 5 (Angel, Beast, Cyclops, Jean Gray and Iceman) have their fingerprints on so much of the X-Men storyline that it would be a shame if this wasn't the group we get and they slow build to the next gen X-Men. Take care all.

Keep them expectations way lower. Gonna be a completely different team working on the Live Action. If it was the same writers etc then I would say expectations are through the roof but its not.
Bishop, Magik, and Havoc need more live action screen time than they got before!!!

Same. Release season 2 of the animated series before Secret Wars, then have the same exact lineup in the live action movie. No brainer, no origin stories needed. And can be written in very easily.

It makes total sense that the new roster is made up of the X-Men 97 team. Why else would they go back to complete the series, if not to include that particular set of characters. I just hope that Gambit is part of it. I was devastated when he was killed off! It truly broke my heart.

Which Chris Claremont line-up? His initial run was for 16 years and the roster changed a lot over those years. I mean, there was a time when Longshot was on the roster, so is Longshot part of the "Claremont line-up"?

Jubilee, Morph? Need to be in there? Why? Jubilee and Morphs abilities are weak. I could see having Morph to get killed to move the other characters in a certain direction story wise besides he’s expendable. But answer me why you need the two of the three you mentioned in the movie?

Fans want this movie to have a serious tone, not be funny and whimsical like a Tim Burton movie. The last few X-Men movies already overused Mystique, so why add a goofy male version of her for these movies. And no one wants an immature, chattery, mallrat onscreen to represent one of the lead X-Men for this long overdue X-Men reboot. And let's not talk about how outdated Gambit is in modern times... Nope.

I always envisioned the X-Men roster that Marvel would use for their MCU would be a iteration of X-Men blue and gold. Having characters like Jean Gray cyclops gambit storm beast, maybe nightcrawler colossus. Also, I envision maybe being one of the leaders of the X-Men team along with Gene Gray, maybe even rogue..

Have you noticed that if you are on Disney+, the X-Men 97 show is grouped into the "Multiverse Saga." To me, it means that the characters are definitely part of the MCU as we know them. The question is.....why???? This video made me perk up my ears even more....

If I were Kevin Fegie, I'd do the original line up with Scott, Jean, Bobby Drake, Hank and Angel and I'd include Colossus with his young sister.

They really should tap Chris Claremont on this. When it comes to X-men, he made them popular. The original five members (Cyclops, Beast, Marvel Girl, Icemand, and Angel) got the series canceled. And while he didn't create the new members, he was the one that gave them life.

i still think they should start off with a cinematic version of Giant Size X-Men #1. This story would explain why the mutants haven't been seen yet because the team was trapped on the island and heve the original five members in there while still introducing the new lineup as Charles recruits them to find his old team.
This one scares me the most. I am a huge X-Men fan and pray they do this well. It's a make-or-break situation.
It would be interesting if they did Rogue's origin with her as an antagonist.
Starting with her draining Captain Marvel's powers and leaving Carol in a coma.
I think they need to keep the story of the original 5, maybe have flashbacks and scenes of what Warren and Bobby are doing after leaving the team. With the option for them to turn up and help at the end.
It would make sense, like in the first episode of the series, to have Jubilee come in as the audience POV to have any exposition aimed at. Also, she can provide a bridge between the team and the students so hopefully we can get hints of Kitty, Piotr, Illyana and other younger mutants to expand upon in sequels/spinoffs.

For an xmen roster, they should have Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Wolverine, Iceman, Angel, Storm, Rogue, Jubilee, Gambit and Colossus.
Wolverine needs to be just as side lined as he was in X-Men 97. Comic accurate suits like in Deadpool and Wolverine. Wolverine needs to say "Hey there Bub". Beast needs to say "Oh my stars and garders".

The animated series was and is the perfect line up. Especially, if you keep gambit and nightcrawler up front enough, and make sure Colossus and Psylocke show up. X97 did such an amazing job of throwing in...not enough, but just the amount to keep us begging for more while cheering as well.

I can see why they might want to leave Wolverine out but we've been waiting too long to see Marvel's X-Men and by the time it comes out even longer for them to omit him and make us wait further, look how long Blade is taking! The other characters won't be overshadowed if they do them justice something Fox couldn't do . I don't have an issue if they go with that roster but I'd want one addition.... Iceman I've been a fan since seeing him with Spiderman and Fire Star in the 80s cartoon
