How To Paint A Pickguard, Plus Some Preamp Tweaks. (Project Berocca Part 12)

In this video I modify the preamp to tweak the tone of both pickups. I use push pull control pots to add versatility to the bass. Next I remove the vinyl wrap then spray paint the pickguard with a rattle can to match the body color.

So far it's been pretty good. There is a slight shiny spot where my thumb rests by the pickup. I used basic hardware store satin clear lacquer. If you do a lot of slapping and need a harder finish, I'd go with a 2-pack if available. Or maybe a layer of clear vinyl wrap...
