25 years since the original release, November 3rd saw the release of limited-edition collector’s formats to celebrate the silver anniversary of Oasis’ iconic album ‘The Masterplan’. Formats available include CD, cream cassette and limited-edition double vinyl formats (heavyweight silver, green and black marble and black LPs). The new formats feature remastered audio, taken from the ‘Chasing The Sun’ reissues - available for the first time as one collection.

The Masterplan' should be considered a studio album because it is better than most studio albums of the 90s
I just found it at my local record store, looking forward to owning that one.
A classic, this song always touches me deeply after all these years. Noel wrote it in the last 80's when he was feeling depressed and also hesitant about making it one day in the musical industry. Half the World Away is another Oasis classic that he wrote at that time and that reflects this tough period of his life.
Underrated gem. I'm hoping Noel makes a High Flying Birds version.

The “Stand By Me” single, 26 years ago already?! 😱 As an American, the quickest way to get those Oasis singles back then was to order overseas by mail. Otherwise you’d have to wait for the local music store to import them (took longer that way). I was a senior in high school and I still remember going home for lunch and being ecstatic that the CD had finally arrived in the mailbox. That vivid green digipak, the newest disc in my collection at that moment. I took it with me back to school along with my Discman, as it would accompany the afternoon bus trip on the way to an area speech meet. “Stand By Me,” “(I Got) The Fever,” “My Sister Lover“ (that opening strike of the piano!), and concluding with the best B-side of the ‘Be Here Now’ era: “Going Nowhere.” Oh, to hear it for the first time all over again. Chills, and a longing for that girl who no longer wanted me. A song that, to this day, still brings a tear to my eye thanks to its arrangement alone. I long for those days and these were the key soundtracks to my youth. The lyrics to this track resonate even more today, as a guy once again living alone in his 40s. 😢 And here we are, a quarter of a century later, celebrating one of the greatest compilations of the greatest B-sides of all time, ‘The Masterplan!’ Better late than never to hit #1 in the charts - this time you don’t have a U2 compilation blocking you from the top! Thanks, Noel. And congrats!

Yea I agree Noel’s voice is softer and a lot different to liams I have just heard lots of people say Liams voice is way better and Noel can’t sing
I have never heard anyone say that. Noels voice has much more range than Liam's.
