I cant get steering lock to engage on my fiat grande Punto any advice? Please.
How do you remove them 2 sheer off bolts? Do they have to be drilled out?
Small pointed punch and when free use pliers to turn
if we remove all pins in barrel, does the car start. new barrel will take 10 days to deliver so need to start the car
As long as the transponder receives the code from the key fob you can use a flat headed screwdriver to start the vehicle

Is this the switch aswell as the barrel? Mines not even cranking so I’m thinking it’s the ignition switch
Put a jump lead on the negative post on the battery and earth it to the chassis... It's common on the Punto for the earth lead to fail
How to do, when the key won't turn on.. cylinder is blocked, cylinder stopper is blocked also. All 2 keys won t turn on.
Will need a complete new barrel
You have 2x snap bolts that hold it to the collum you will need to under them with a point punch and hammer and when lose you can turn them with long nose grips and it would be a complete barrel that's needed
what if my key is stuck inside ?
You would have to remove the complete ignition system held on with the 2 sheer bolts
