    Lol. Tar is actually a natural occurrence along the beaches of California. It bubbles up off shore and comes ashore. You just have to watch your step.

      Hey Brandon, Good to know! But i'm almost positive this was someone who brought it on the beach, at the entry of the park we saw a plastic grocery bag of black gunk that was spilt over, we avoided it coming in but we ended up stepping on some anyway that was hiding under the sand

    cereal can be savory, like plain oatmeal with savory ingredients added.

    • @Kadenventures
      @Kadenventures  Před 2 lety +1

      Do you still add milk to savory cereal? Something about salt and milk seem like it won't mix well lol Oatmeal makes sense, I love grits with eggs and bacon

      @@Kadenventures any processed cereal will be loaded with sugars and other undesirable stuff. Plain oatmeal is cereal. Try to find a 6-grain hot cereal at a local health food store. You can do overnight oats before you guys leave and have them ready the next morning with eggs bacon and salsa.

    Mayonnaise to remove tar. I’m from that area, it natural and the Chumash used it to waterproof their boats

      Thanks! Good to know for the future! We thought it was someone intently leaving it behind because we saw a big plastic bag with a bunch of tar in it (a construction site was nearby so we thought it was someone messing around). Didnt realize it was natural it was the first time we'd seen anything like that on a beach lol Thanks for watching!

    OMGosh that tar!!!! What a mess. Other than that, all was good. Even the fog, because that's what that area is all about. Thanks again!

      The tar was wild! Never seen that before at a dog park lol We thought we were just unlucky with the weather but the fog is normal lol

    Thanks for sharing, great memories my friend! You will remember for a lifetime….. back in 97 I had a 24’ travel trailer and I did the San Diego northern Cali loop… Moray Bay, Hurst Castle, Big Sur, Humboldt, to crescent city and then down to Lassen volcanic park, Body ghost town, Yosemite, Sequoia and back to San Diego!
    We just got back from Escalante Utah and going back to Utah in August. I currently live in AZ…..
    I bought a 2022 Power Wagon and am still considering the GFC and if so I’ll be driving to Montana in September!
    Thank you for all the cool videos man 😀

      Thats awesome! And your right, my wife and I still talk about this crazy road trip to this day. I didnt have any really long trips planned this summer since we've been jetting around the East Coast but we want to hit up Yosemite and Sequia someday soon! I did Escalante last summer and it was a great time! Good luck on the search, there are a ton of options out there especially for a full size bed !

    Just did the Big Sur drive from Oakland while on a work trip. I had the same luck with fog, and I also had dinner at the oyster place in Carmel by chance (great food). Safe travels.

      The FOG wasnt too bad when we left San Francisco but as soon as we made our way to Big Sur after Carmel it got THICK lol That place was great! If we didnt have the dog we would have eaten dinner there too. Thanks for watching Nathan!

    Next time for tar, use any kind of oil (vegetable, olive, etc) to clean off. It will come right off instead of scrubbing with soap. Many of the coast beaches a little south of there have oil all over the beach from the oil rigs that get on your feet and sandles too. Using cooking oil will work surprisingly well.

      Thanks for the tip! Now we know for next time :) We ended up using some alcohol that helped get some of it off but remnants definitely stuck around the following day lol Thanks for watching!

    Did you ever make it to Malibu seafood

    • @Kadenventures
      @Kadenventures  Před 2 lety +1

      Unfortunately no, Malibu was SO crowded and there was so much traffic we were over it (spent about 3 extra hours sitting in the truck through traffic) so we just booked it through and made out way to LA
