This was my favorite intro of all time. The twists and turns! The Sonny and Cher origin story I didn't know I needed in my life. The Simpson's reference. I loved it all

I grew up in rural northern CA and we were a See’s family! I considered a box of See’s to be the most luxurious Christmas gift. Each subset of the family / friends / neighbors had specific boxes they believed were the best - I was and forever will be a Soft Centers person. My mom still calls me when she gets a box because I know all of the flavors by heart based on what they look like on the outside! As an adult, I still think Soft Centers are pretty good, for newcomers I’d say avoid the truffles (they taste so different and fake to me compared to the chocolates in the soft centers box) and if you were to try just one candy, I’d recommend the butterscotch square. It’s basically pure brown sugar coated by milk chocolate and is so good (but maybe too sweet for a lot of people). I also think the scotchmallows are pretty good followed by Bordeaux and the little toffee sticks. I would also always get a classic box mix over a valentines / special occasion box (where I think they’re more likely to sneak in the truffles that aren’t really that good).
I don't know why but John Hodgman is one of my all time favorite guests.
This is the first time i’ve ever watched an episode (instead of just listening) and I had no idea Wiger just death-stares the camera through his entire opening. Absolutely chilling.
I just paused this episode and watched the entire Mission Impossible Without Dialogue from the drop - absolute masterpiece.
I'm ready for this. Killer intro!

I was surprised the mention of Warren Buffet and the conglomerate ownership didn't elicit more negative sentiment from Wiges. Everyone loves uncle Warren!
Kudos to Nick for correctly using myriad in the intro and not saying "myriad of". drives me nuts when people do that
I know of delta medallion status (actually, i know of it cause of Hodgeman's book), but I had to look up the ranking system again and now I see Mitch's horror -- he didn't just lower, he went from the highest tier to the lowest! That is the biggest possible fall... i guess with how scary planes have been this last year it's not a full loss

I had my "Imp of the perverse" moment the first time I stood on the Golden Gate Bridge and looked down. I was only in SF for a day and I wanted two things. In-n-Out and to walk on the GGB. I absolutely cannot do heights anymore. That one experience made me totally afraid of not jumping... falling.
Also, In-n-Out was totally mid.

When you do a jump cut in the middle of Wiger's monolog, you need to cut in closer to hide the edit. You can cut right back out after a few seconds. Looks way more professional.
