I've just recently gotten my mr2 back from 7 years in hiatus and so excited to get back into it but right now it's bringing it back to life. Alot has wasted away being in a backyard for that long. So much harder to find parts nowadays.

These prices are way outdated because recently there has been a JDM extinction. Cars that used to sell for 6K are now selling for double that price. Heck, an RX7 FD sold for over 100K! recently, It's no joke. A good condition MR2 Spyder goes for around 12K-15K from what I have seen.

My plan in the future is to buy one of these. And swap it with a billet K24 with some precision turbos pushing 1,500hp this would be one of the world's fastest cars easily.

Damn how big is your garage?? you must be swimming in money, just pick your favorite car and work on that rather than having 3 cars in storage that you won't drive.
@@Zeriel00 Just a 2 car garage, but the s2000 and miata stay in there along with the bikes. I would love a four car garage or more, but this home is just temporary for the next few years or so, the next home will be the key to build out with race deck tiles, 4 post lift, etc.
Not swimming in money just work hard for what I have.
And the s2k and miata both do come out, just not as frequent as they arent daily drivers (anymore).
looks good best new mr2 ive seen, i had the 2zz celica in the uk we get 192 hp and it revs to 8700 stock, I though monkey wrench springs and retainers would make it rev to 10,000, you said 8500, but stock it should go to 8700, the 03 engine and 1999 engine revs to 8700 all the other where 7800 or 8300, but yeah with the springs and retainers 10,000 you can even go to 11,000 with a comander AEM EMS4 or APEXI FC, your turbod though so I dunno if you really wanna go above 9,000, but it should rev to 10,000 if you have ferera double springs and retainers, just a question when monkey wrench did the ported head did it add much power, I was going to get a ported head 3 angle valve job flat faced valves springs and retainers and set revs to 10,000, I herd a port and polish and flat faced valves would add 20hp without cams, did you notice much increase in hp or did you get a dyno done to see the gains, I imagine 20hp, you get 5hp from the flat faced valves,
that is the best MR2 I have seen a new MR2 I like the old ones but thats the best new one Ive seen good job, bit unimpressed with the interior compared to the celica there the same year the interior looks like its a 90's car in the MR2, is it quicker than the celica, I chose the celica instead of the MR2 i was gona get a MR2 95 tbat twin turbo GTSe but herd they had tourq steer issues bit skitish on back end like, so i settled for an 03 celica, 192, all we gota do in the uk is take the butterfly out the airbox train the ecu drive in lift a lot and it makes 200BHP, get 204 with 99 octain maybe 205BHP, it has a learning ECU so the faster you drive it the quiker it is as it sets the VVT to each driver, very clever but unfortunatly its untunable hence the need for an aftermarket ECU, you can get 380 BHP full N/A build with stroker 2l and fully forged knifeedged crank and a long runner intake manifold and headers ect..
How much did it cost to install the engine swap? I'm considering to go through MWR but for an engine swap through them is about 5k. And since I have a SMT, I need a SMT to MT conversion and from them they price the full swap at 10k. Can I just get the kits from them and have someone install them for cheaper?

I used to have it but doesn't fit with my Turbo intake pipe. I run ksports and some Cusco bars. Handles great with hard top

I want to build a spyder in two weeks, i have 0 experiance but i think pu bushings and some braces alsow go a long way with the classic coilovers and Semi slicks.
