I met Dre twice at the Gym. The first time I waited until we made eye contact and he seemed approachable. I made it short and sweet by telling him how he inspired me as a producer and thanked him for his contribution to music and the culture.

The key word he said is 'drive'. It's the artists, musicians, athletes etc who just keep on going, wake up every day and get shit done, that rise to the top. He's a workaholic and a perfectionist, and he was smart enough to lay low when rappers were dying in the 90s.
His production is incredible. If you listen to other great 90s hip-hop songs like Regulate or Keep Ya Head Up, just for example, you can hear they are from a different era, but if you listen to Nuthin' But A G Thing, No Diggity, California Love etc they sound like they were recorded yesterday. The sound is so full, the beats are perfect, and the tone is beautiful. The sound of a master at work.
When this gentleman speaks people should stop what they're doing and listen you don't stand in his shoes without knowing a little bit about life and the fact that he is willing to share his knowledge to ensure that this music does not die speaks louder than words God bless you keep killing it
