Catch The Pokemon Only Knowing Their Pokedex Number, Then We Battle!

- Vinny and I randomized Pokémon scarlet and Violet and were given 3 minutes to catch a pokedex number chosen at random. Whoever catches the pokemon thats closest to the number wins and gets to choose a punishment for the other person! We will also keep the pokemon we catch in each round and after 6 rounds we then build our teams the best we could and then we fight in a 6v6 Pokemon battle! Right. Sinnoh dex ends at 493, so naturally I would have gone for the Palkia.
He wouldn't have won though. Because the number was end of gen 3 when he found palkis, but went for Cacturne instead because that was closer

In proportion it’s close tbh, knowing there is 1015 pokedex rn, 1 to 24 is a 2% difference

Hearing 422 and thinking it’s close to gen 3 legends hurt my soul and as Gen 4 man. It’s like relatively dead center of Gen 4 😢
I know that Deoxys is #386, so I knew their guesses were way off
Some ideas for more punishments: No 100% accuracy moves, only attacking moves, no HAX moves, no held items

They were thinking gen 3 like dumb dumbs. Early gen 4 was an easy guess I said roserade initially which is 407
Imagine turning down mew because it was 50 places off only to get stuck with Ekans over 70 places off
The moral of the story is: Never put a Focus Sash on a mon that you're planning to use Destiny Bond with lol

vinny not taking the #484 origin palkia that was 62 away from the number while tobin was 68 away and instead getting a mon that's like 90 away that is also a lot worse than origin palkia (no shade to cacturne, a lot of mons are a lot worse than origin palkia) hurt
