There are sociopolitical dynamics involved that often don't make it to other countries/cultures when they adopt the music/battling component. There's a reason I used to ONLY watch KOTD, then after only a year I ditched that outlook. Long story short, most of the comments I see here prove to me that a select demographic of Aussie fans are just here to cock-gobble their hometown hero. Kers could have choked every round and these jabronies still would have given him the W. Illmac is a better, more lyrical, and more unique emcee *period*. It's easy to correlate talent directly with views & labels. So what if Kers is one of the biggest rap names in Australia? Kevin Gates is a bigger name than Aesop in America, with more views and more prestige, but he's still lyrically trash by comparison. That's the difference.
