"Hand of Doom" is a song by the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath. It appears on their second studio album, "Paranoid," released in 1970. The song was written by the band, including Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass), and Bill Ward (drums).
The lyrics of the song address the subject of drug addiction and its destructive effects on individuals. The "hand of doom" is a metaphor for the consequences that come with drug abuse. The song's lyrics describe the descent into addiction, the physical and mental toll it takes on the user, and the sense of hopelessness that can result.
The song features a powerful and memorable riff from Tony Iommi, as well as Ozzy Osbourne's distinctive vocals. It's a staple in Black Sabbath's live performances and has been celebrated as one of the band's iconic tracks.
"Paranoid" and "Hand of Doom" played a significant role in shaping the heavy metal genre, and the album is often considered one of the foundational records in the development of heavy metal music.

WOW !! Totally Intense !! Bill ward is on Fire !! Such a Powerful Tune .Sabbath were doing the "Loud/Soft/Loud " thing Way before Nirvana or the Pixies ...
It's not just music, it's an era.
I saw Black Sabbath at Winterland in 71 ,ZZ Top opened the show then Wild Turkey with Glenn Cornick from Jethro Tull and Black Sabbath.... another Great show and venue...
Sounds amazing. ZZ Top in 1971 must have been a treat.
The Beat Club sessions are worth watching and probably the most common on CZcams. I saw the Dio version of Sabbath on the Black and Blue tour way back when. Dio is a great front man, but I never saw them as Sabbath. This would have been the era to see before the drugs took over completely.
Tony was 17 when the industrial accident took place. His last day at work before "turning professional" with a band called.....The Birds and The Bees. Long before Sabbath. His first prosthetics were from a melted down Fairy liquid dish soap bottle. 👍👍
