I just bought Kit today at my local mall!!! She is my first and only American Girl doll!! I have wanted her since I was 8 years old, and now I'm 23. I have been carrying her around all day😭 childhood dreams finally came true today

Welcome back Kyla! And that's amazing that the new Kit looks just like she did back when she first came out! I would love to get her sometime myself. I hope they re-release more of the historical characters too. If they re-release addy with her original collection I'll probably die and she will HAVE to join my collection! 😂 Felicity too!

I picked up Kit at AGNY on release day and I love her so much! I have never gotten a double of a doll before, but Kit has always been my favorite so i needed to get her!
I’m new to collecting AG dolls but I found a used Kit at Once Upon A Child for $40 and I got her! I’m super excited!
As long as all the girls that were affected by Beforever or were archived way too soon get to come back in their original forms then I'll be happy
I have a Mattel kit from 2012 in original outfit. I want re-release kit now I didn't like her but seeing her in your video I want her now and her clothes and her dog grace

Awe! I was 13 and saved up my babysitting money for a year to buy the original Kit. Now I’m planning on giving her to my daughter in a few years. Is it just me or does the new Kit look like a slightly different face shape??

I definitely understand not sending your original Kit to the doll hospital. My childhood Molly developed silver eye, and I won't risk it, and she wouldn't fully be my childhood Molly anymore. That desk set looks amazing! Enjoy your new Kit! 😊
I recently sent my 16 y/o Molly to the doll hospital and it was super nerve wracking for me but I can say it was a good experience! She looks amazing after her visit
Was so excited Kit was coming back so I could get the Accessory set for my old Pleasant Co. Kit. So, the one time AG includes the accessories with the doll, they had to pick Kit!(haha) Glad you're back. Enjoy you and your collection alot.

Congratulations on your new Kit! Kit is my favorite girl, too. I got her for Christmas 2000. I don’t do duplicates so I won’t get a second, but it was nice to see yours up close and personal. You definitely need the blue school dress! Her desk is my all-time favorite piece of doll furniture, so much so that I have two. One is for my historical Kit while the other is for my modern dolls.

This was so cool to see the comparisons! Your poor original Kit, so loved. I wish I had her desk!! So cool! I'm pretty sure her necklace is a compass not a sun, but still so cute. Also, at least all 4 of my original dolls all came with a coin in their accessories. My Samantha's coin isn't a copy either, it's real. Back in the day they came out that way! Samantha, Felicity, Molly and Kit are the historicals I have from childhood

I had a kit doll when I was so little!
I have a pre-Beforever Kit, so this is the same outfit she came in. I feel like the new Kits I've seen have a more "face up" kind of look which I didn't really care for on her. Not sure if you think that seeing her in person.

I've been wanting her since I was a child but by the time I was an adult & had my own money to spend, she was in that ugly Beforever dress. ALSO how is her hair? Is it a good thickness? Ever since I bought my 68 with REALLY thin hair, I've been scared since. LOL

I had to send my Kitt to the doll hospital because her limbs are loose and her hair was cut
I have a wired questions to all AG fans I have the #4 and I brought her too the AG hospital the store personally never out of my sight to tighten her limbs does that tune up devalue her?
No, it doesn’t devalue her. Changing her head might if the face mold was slightly different, but tightening limbs definitely doesn’t! If you’re planning on selling her or something, it’ll make her more valuable.
