I love the spirit of these women. So much to respect for these surfers with both their dual competitiveness and sunny-ness as well as their determination and playfulness. We need more videos like this.

I don't get it...men are never like, "oh look at the men of this or the men of that", they just do what they do...
Perhaps you don’t get it because you don’t realize that men “just go do it” because they have ACCESS to try. Women haven’t had those opportunities in a myriad of fields, and face quiet discrimination in a number of areas of life.
Want to play football as a woman? Nope, sorry. Want to do a space walk? Can’t. Not enough uniforms that fit women. Want to drive a safe car as a woman? Sorry, but those safety features were designed for men, so women are 37-73% more likely to get seriously injured in a crash. Want to get VC funding as a woman owned startup? Even though they are statistically more profitable, less than 4% of VC funded startups are women owned, likely because of the lack of women in decision making roles at funds. Want safe medicine? Sorry. Women are often excluded from medical trials and face a higher likelihood of side effects from medication.
The list goes on and on. Women are continually having to fight for representation and opportunity instead of just being offered it like their male counterparts.
