    Gates and boarding bridges must be added since the number of flight has increased after constructing the airport, but constructing and adding a new terminal next to it could be great.

    09:55 and 10:03 - Sounds like IKA has runAways instead of runways... Sounds like pilots are pushing full throttle to runAway the hell out of this airport :P I can imagine the tower: "Cleared for take off and runAway 11L" :)
    Though I travelled at IKA many times and it's a cool and quick airport, lines are always fast, immigration quick, and walking times short (imo, and regarding only walking times in big international airports best ever: HND worst ever: MIA).

  • @simferpol
    @simferpol Před 13 lety

    Was too small even when it was newly completed even for just the international flights. I think even when they complete the next terminal they will not be able to take any domestic flights or pilgrim charters from Mehrabad but just make IKIA less crowded. And what about the metro? It isnt making much progress towards the airport.

    One Big Problem!
    Why the washrooms are not made international standard in international airport? I have seen with my own eyes how foreign tourists are shocked & disgusted as soon as they get in there. The awful smell of s..t and the rest you see when you're inside the hole room! I can't imagine what the ladies go thorough? For people who have never experienced it, particularly ladies more than men it is not pleasant.. I lived almost eighteen years in Iran, now I'm fifty and my body couldn't do it. It was very challenging for me so I can imagine the new comers.
    What I don't get it is why they decided to go for the old style? At least they could build both style so people can have choice.
    Please my country men, if you expect to see more tourists coming to our beloved and beautiful country, don't let something as small as washroom and etc. create problem..
    I love Iran and it.s my duty to inform the ones in charge.

    Don't fight guys :) come on checkout Seoul ICN airport and you'll see what's a real modern airport! I used to know THR, now IKA, I visited DXB once, AUH a few times ; I can add ORY, NRT, DTW, JFK, DFW, MIA, LAX, IST, TPE... all are seriously ridiculous compared to quality, architecture design, national proudness, and efforts put into ICN (only CDG 2E, SFO and HND intl' terminal only, can compete). Fact is IKA and DXB are both design a French architect + oil money. National proudness in here?

Useless landscape design which can not be use with any one because of sunshine.(no shading device). Our country Iran is overred. and we r going to become like NORTH korea please wake up/
