Midnight Resistance (ミッドナイトレジスタンス, Middonaito Rejisutansu) is a side-scrolling run and gun game produced by Data East and released in arcades in 1989. Midnight Resistance is set in a dystopian future where the player controls a member of a resistance movement who goes on a mission to rescue his kidnapped family from a drug kingpin.
It was ported to the Sega Mega Drive in 1991 as Data East's first video game for the console. The game was also adapted by Ocean Software to home computers.
The game was published on following platforms: Arcade, Genesis, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST

Liked very much all those little information details about the technical build of the song! On the Tyros, do multipads follow the chords you play? Or they're simple audio clips? Thx, and keep making nice retro music! :)
Thanks that's a new feature I'm gonna implement on the future songs. The Multi Pads can be configured 2 different ways, repeat (on/off) and chord match (on/off). They can be recorded in a slow tempo and the be adjusted to the song so some parts are recorded live in slower tempo and the arpeggio at 00:36 is step recorded. I use several Multi Pads, they are saved in four. So when I need more than four i save them as Midnight Resistance 1, 2, 3 and 4 so then I connect different Multi Pads to different parts in the song (as seen to the right with 8 buttons). The intro fanfare and the brass section is recorded by hand and not step recorded. I will do break downs on my songs soon too where I go through the whole song with chords, melody and how I configure it.

What I really miss on my Roland E-A7 is the chord match setting, so that I could prerecord whole phrases on pads, or on variation part without the need to push chord in real time. On the Roland instrument, no matter what, it will match the pad or phrase to the chord you push, you can't "disconnect" it from the chord detection mechanism.
Wow, I really use this feature for all kinds of things, like the last song, Final Fantasy. I can use it to record whole second harmonies or fanfares or fill ins.
Personally, I think the C64 arrangement is the best version of this tune, mainly due to the heavy, driving drums.
