This cage is gonna be WILD all set up, I can't wait! And can I just say, naturalistic cages are great, I even prefer that style of setup for my hamster, but you do colorful and fun setups BEAUTIFULLY. I think it especially works because you incorporate naturalistic enrichment but just make it rainbow and fun lol you could never recreate this with store bought stuff either so I commend you for putting in so much work to have this colorful but enriching cage (:

You can also pour boiling water to the earth to sanitize it. I also made small garden boxes for my Hammies. Grass took some days to grow and about 10 seconds to be completely destroyed by my Syrian. My Russian enjoyed it longer. He always respected all of his stuff and never ever destroyed any item in his enclosure.

I can agree that DIY videos are very frustrating to film. I have an art channel as well for my colour pencil art and it's quite draining having to be perfectly set up every time I want to draw, I can't just draw on and off as easily or in any location in the house. Dump boiling water in the soil with nats. Use enough water to cover completely and let sit for a few minutes before you drain it out. I usually just grab handfuls and squeeze out the water the best I can and then let it dry out for a day or 2. That will kill anything harmful in the soil. :)

Thank you! 🥰 Yes keeping it just a little moist prevents it from becoming dusty. I find it easiest to use a water spray bottle or a water-mister and spray it down once a day (you might not need to do it that often in a colder climate). It's good to do it when your hammy is sleeping so the soil has time to absorb the moisture before they play in it 😊
I found your channel when I was thinking of getting a hamster learned I don't currently have enough room for one in my room:( but I still wait for each of your videos and watch them as soon as I see you have posted! because I genuinely love seeing them they are very entertaining my point is whatever type of videos you do I am going to be watching. thanks for making them and I'm looking forward to whatever type videos you post in the future! oh next year I am moving into a new bigger room so hopefully I will be able to get one then. ( I am thinking of naming it waffles or pancake !) I plan on getting a little each month and doing a lot of diy projects I have seen on here (the smaller popsicle stick ones) for it before I get the hamster so it will look like I have a big terrarium in my room for a while but I would rather have to much for it than not enough.

I don't think I'd ever trust a dwarf with a swing, they're so flippin accident-prone! 😅 Once the set up is finished the swing will be much safer, and luckily it'll be a Syrian living in here which I trust so much more with these sort of toys 😊

If you heat the soil in the oven, 130 C ° for about 1 hour, you will avoid the flies 👏🏼

There will be a lot substrate added, so the fall will not be that high and most definitely a lot softer 😃👍
