I was suckered into the IG Pom Pom London also! I just purchased the Mayfair in black. I’m so excited for it to get here, the purses are the perfect size and I also love the ability to change the straps as well. 😊

I get a sore back as I lay on my tummy to read on my bed it's my favourite place to read but when my backs hurting I have a reading triangle pillow and that helps me xx
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the first three French books. I found Broken Harbor at a used bookstore but haven’t read it yet.

I love these fave videos too. Mainly coz I'm so easily influenced!! Your Birkes are gorgeous - love the buckle. I bought a set of the Cazalet books by Elizabeth Jane Howard from Books2Door - such great value - actually saving you money if you think about it 😉 If you're typing most of the work day make sure you also have wrist support - mine is really decrepit now.
Ooh yes I did notice the Cazalet ones but I was torn because they’re reissuing them with such stunning covers I think I want those 😆 oh no! It’s almost like working is bad for our health haha

Definitely going to check out the horror film podcast! I'm not a fan either although mostly because I get bored of being scared. Would love to know what other podcasts your into, although I have a very long list already!

You/anyone without audible may like the Scaredy Cat podcast by Gimlet media too. It's the exact same premise apart from It's hosted by 2 friends: one who hates horror and one who loves it + guests (like Carmen Maria Machado!). It did make me excited to watch Hereditary though and then I didn't sleep for 4 days and got an intense stress rash on my face which was speecy spicy 🙃

Fabulous video. Thank you. I would love a Dublin Murder Squad read-along, absolutely. I have the book sitting here because one of my favorite booktubers loves it so! I am slogging my way thru Vikram Seth's 'A Suitable Boy' this month - slow going. Also reading Rebecca's pick - Elizabeth Hardwick -- genius - 'Sleepless Nights'. Might be nice to have that fan as I'm reading. Thankfully, I do have A/C here outside of DC, where it is so oppressive, I think it would come in very handy. Wear nothing but Birks - still in my pale pink pile lined ones - need to dig out my silver sparkly ones for summer. Love the big buckle ones. Happy to see the lumbar support - very important. Good. A Tana French series book club would be amazing!
Phil Wang is hilarious - if you haven't seen him on Taskmaster deffo give that a go - James Acaster was also on that season! (My partner and I are avid listeners of Off Menu, our fave). Brewdog IPA's are sooo on point! I always get one at Wetherspoons but I haven't tried the kind you suggested... will be doing that. Also, I'm sure you know if you watch the Off Menu podcast but Ed Gamble is doing a tour that my partner and I are going to in 2022. Love your Birkes... I love mine too and no shame wearing them with cute socks on a chiller day lols.

Love all your videos! You've got me so keen to read Tana French... can I just ask, should I read the Dublin Murder Squad books in order? I was going to pick up Broken Harbour since you said it was your fave in a video a while back, but I didn't realise it was a book in a series 🤔
Thank you so much! I think I would recommend reading them in order if you’re interested in the series because the first one introduces some characters and is a really excellent book too. But I also think you can pick up Broken Harbour as a stand-alone - just if you want to read the whole series do it in order. If that makes sense 😂
Amazing - love Brew Dog! I hear you about not wanting to drink it. My father-in-law gave us a beer called "Try Not to Suck" that has a much lighter back story about Joe Madden and the Chicago Cubs baseball team. We love the Cubs. The beer is unopened, displayed proudly on one of our shelves.

@@GKReads our book for this month is Mark Haddon's The Pier Falls. We waited almost a year for it to be available at the library and then when it came in we went into the first lockdown so we have been waiting for about two years for it!
