- Hey Guys!
You may already know us. We're the same weirdos as The Siren's Log where we dive, fish, sail and are currently looking for our future sailboat. We had a short run of videos go viral and gained a good share of subscribers rather quickly, and then every time that we'd do VW videos after that, we actually lost some of you. We realized that there was no reason why we shouldn't share our unexpected VW reality over here with you, but only to the ones of you who love it. So here we are. Another VW Channel. A good ol spin-off from The Siren's Log.
Thanks for being here. Enjoy the show.

....been reminiscing about my '69 that I owned 50 years ago. It does sound a little rough, but they are really fun cars. I learned how important it is to adjust the valves after burning an exhaust. Good luck!

Necesita cariño.... Pero dale sin miedo
👍🏼 exactamente. Gracias!
My sister who will turn 78 in April bought a powder blue with black interior new in 1970. The sticker price was 1,879.00. I was 17 at the time and I drove it a lot from day one. Then in 1974 she bought a second one, this time it was a orange with black interior. This time it was a Super Bettle. The Super Beetle had a curved windshield and a different type of front suspension which gave it a larger trunk. Yes, they sold a regular and a super. The regular beetle had a flat windshield and the old torsion bar front suspension and a smaller interior volume trunk.
Awhhh that’s so cool. I love hearing all the stories!!!

$5000 was too much in my opinion, but you guys got a decent car.
Simple vw fixs. But if the doesn't like the rack, id take it. Jim Dandy style. Be a fun driver.
Thanks! Yeah I have mixed emotions about the rack, but it’ll be Grandmas decision.

Jess has been spoiled with EFI
What’s EFI
@@AnotherVWChannel electronic fuel injection. It is why you don't have to put your foot on the gas to start modern vehicles, it will inject fuel on stat up. Carbureted vehicles you do.
Ahhh right. I'll admit, I wasn't driving my VW's for a while when I was living out of the country. Always takes me a minute to get back into the swing of things.
Sounds like he fixed a few hard fixes. These cars are an investment.
Yep. We’ve done a lot of work on it! Stay tuned!
Not one made after ‘67 is an investment.
5K... I love beetles but this one for that money..?
Yeah this was one of the cheapest I could find in Florida that didn’t need immediate paint.
very little rust
@@haltarpley9237 Very little of everything that is supposed to be there and should work. Good luck!
Keep watching. The whole car is there. @@jan4004
Beetle parts are cheap. Nothing compared to our modern cars. Things are simple and like working on a Golf Cart. I mean, whats the problem? I would tell you the condition it is currently in but, we have 3 more videos coming out. Keep watching. These things are simpler than anything I have been turning wrenches on in the last 20 years. @@jan4004
Score, barely I to this video
Post 1967 Volkswagens aren’t worth their weight in scrap metal.
