Evening Grey and all. That pack hatchet would also be handy in a total collapse of society, build your shelter, break into stores and kill zombies in up close combat. Kidding aside, that would be very useful in flooding situations when people had retreated up to their attic like during Katrina. It would have let people cut and pry out onto the roof to be rescued. 👍
We have an old fashioned hatchet that we use for camping for pounding in heavy duty stakes and splitting firewood. I like the pry bar feature of this one. I like the size of the multi bit driver--great for a key chain.
I have my grandfather's axe it's over 80 years old and still in wonderful shape. They don't make tools like that anymore. I do like the multi-use of this one and yep agree it's all nice little addition to the key chain 😁👍
Hello Grey and community. I like this little hatchet. I use them a lot on the ranch. I always have my knives but especially in winter, I have to chop the ice in the water troughs. I use a hatchet. After wind storms we get a lot of blow down from trees on our fences. I use my hatchet for this sometimes ( if they're smaller) as I don't carry a chain saw with me. This would be a handy all around one for me. Thanks for the demo.
Just got mine today. It's an awesome get home bag tool or bug out bag tool for a small forced entry tool... My idea wasn't really for woodcraft, but sure it can do some of that too...
Thanks Grey. That looks like a decent hatchet. I have a super cheap one that my hubby got for me at a flea market many years ago. I really need a good one. I've been looking an an Estwing hatchet but it's way too expensive for me. I have a couple of screwdrivers on my keychain but they only have a flat head and a phillips head in them. Much Love ❤
Yeah, I have a few cheap ones but they get rusty with that I put them through. I have one but it cost me $150 and that was the cheaper version 🤯 it's great but it's strictly a hatchet. Thanks for the visit Jan 🙏💛 God bless 😁
Thst little tool would have came in handy last week. My ammo holster clip was loose and I ended up losing the screw. It would have been nice to tighten it right on the spot
@@GreyManPrepping Yes, and I was able to get both at a considerable discount, just by browsing in the stores every time I went in for something else. Camillus is great for their snap-button kydex sheath with clip and eyelets for lashing or wearing, and the same with SOG but thie sheath is a really heavy-duty nylon canvas. Fortunately, I should be able to make a kydex sheath for that too, but I'm gonna go with a fastex buckle and molle straps. Sometimes the best thing you can do to meet your needs is to make your own.
Great hachet but I really love that little tool 😊 I hope they are in stock. I would like to pick 2 of them up. One for me and another for huuby ❤️ thank you Grey
Great products Grey, I am actually in the market for a new hatchet, well thank you for finding it for me. I'll be using your affiliate link, appreciate you sir.
I have one of those and was very disappointed. The hammer head is loose and will not tighten. Other than that I also thought it was great multi purpose.
I haven't had that issue yet, but it makes me want to go hammer a bunch if stuff to see if it's a common occurrence or not. I probably would have tack welded it as well 😆 I bought my dad a small welded years ago and use it more than he does lol
@@GreyManPrepping thanks for your reply. well, 80Cr is still a lot softer than 440C. and the price for the HX Outdoors Mercenary Axe is more than fair. i think OKnife just copied the design and used cheaper materials and made it more expensive. that's why i say the HX is the better deal.

Hi Grey and,Mods and Grey Community.
Hello 👋 Joyce 😊

Hey Eric 🤘 honestly that's a great example of how this hatchet could be a useful tool. Thanks brother 😁🙏
Hi brother! What a wonderful reminder.
Hey, thanks 😁👍

Awesome! Glad you like it. I agree it makes a nice all-around tool outside of just a hatchet 😁👍

Yeah I figured knife, flashlight, and various other clips this would come in handy for 👍
That's a sturdy Hatchett I have a 9 window punch🤣
😆🤘
That would would come in handy for work around my small homestead.
Agreed my friend 😎👍
I have a Camillus hatchet with a camp saw in the handle (on my get-home bag), and an SOG combat tomahawk on my war bag.
I was looking at the Camillus hatchet, How do you like it? SOG makes a nice array of products, I really like there warranty 😁👍

Awesome, thanks for the info 👍
Nice review. I love tools, however I have a silky saw already. It works great for what I need.
Thank you and yes the silky saw is a great tool to have! I have 3 iterations of them and they are a workhorse!
Great hachet but I really love that little tool 😊 I hope they are in stock. I would like to pick 2 of them up. One for me and another for huuby ❤️ thank you Grey
It's definitely a little nifty tool kit 😁
@@GreyManPrepping That it is

Thank you Lisa, I really appreciate the support 🙏 Once you get it and have an opportunity to use it for a bit, please let me know your thoughts 😁👍
That would make a great weopon. Chop chop!!!
That it would AP 😁
This looks good. I’m not sure if I could maneuver it very well. I guess it’s time to practice!!
As they say, practice makes perfect 😁👍
Love gear. Need to sort through what I have now.👍
You and me both 😆👍
👍
Hello Miguel 🤘
nice...reminding me of things I dont have and need. lol
😆 Hey that's what I am here for lol
Hey Grey! Great video, I was just looking at a 1844 Helko Werk Germany Traditional Rheinland Pack Axe.
That's a great pack axe brother, worth the money. A good buddy of mine has one. 🤘
@GreyManPrepping Thanks Grey! I'll definitely be picking one up here soon.
Cool 👍
Thanks pony girl 😁🙏
Great reviews. Nice hatchet.
Thank you Dale 😁💛🙏
😊
Thank you 😁🙏
You say hatchet, I say combat tool.
😆 I definitely understand your perspective 🤘
I have one of those and was very disappointed. The hammer head is loose and will not tighten. Other than that I also thought it was great multi purpose.
I had a similar incident, with another brand, So I tack-welded it and it hasn't moved since 😆
I haven't had that issue yet, but it makes me want to go hammer a bunch if stuff to see if it's a common occurrence or not. I probably would have tack welded it as well 😆 I bought my dad a small welded years ago and use it more than he does lol

no, the 50Cr steel is too soft for my taste. the HX Outdoors Mercenaries Axe is made of 440C. looks the same. the better deal.
Roger that, My favorite is the WK combat axe it uses 80CrV2 steel, it's just very pricey for most folks but extremely durable
@@GreyManPrepping thanks for your reply.

@@olafkliemt1145 I truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I'll have to check out the HX Outdoors axe. I hope you have a great evening 😁👍
