I feel like this is the poster child for never buying the first model year of anything. They’re still working out the kinks of the design and they’re using their customers as the beta testers.
Daniel Defense has been in possession of my H9 since 02/29/2024…more than 4 months as of today. It was a complete charlie foxtrot of a rollout…I think the failed rollout will make it a flop. Plus, a bunch of CZcamsrs I used to watch for information praised it fully…now I watch those channels like I don’t watch big time wrestling… I’ve got a few videos about my experiences with the H9 on my channel.
Not sure why people get excited about anything from DD. Had a pro series ddm4, while reliable, accuracy definitely left something to be desired. Even with 77 gr smk and the geissele trigger, it was no better than my colt which I could buy two for the price.
I actually was excited about this pistol until I saw it in person, handled it, and fired it. Felt "cheap", trigger sucked, and was a total disappointment in every respect.
That’s how I felt about the H&K pistols. A buddy had two and I fired them both. I’ve never been so disappointed with a trigger, it ruined the whole experience.
I never understood why lowering the recoil spring reduces recoil. Recoil is generated by the bullet leaving the barrel. The recoil spring only returns the slide into battery. Lowering the barrel like in a CZ75 or Rhino revolver reduces muzzle flip. Nothing really reduces recoil. Sorry but that's just physics.
Don't really care about the pistol, I'm not going to buy one unless it's a pennies on the dollar deal, BUT, I am SUPER curious as to what happened with the 86 or whatever customers that lost(?) their guns.......
This popular pistol is the worst I bought???? Where is the popular pistol at? Sccy is a million times more popular than this in every category. Videos, criticisms, sales, returns, buyers, I have only seen 2 videos on this gun. Both no bueno. I guess you're trying to show your not in the "gun industries " pocket by taking a stand on a gun nobody likes and only sales because its a collector's item. There will be exactly nobody in the world (even at Daniel Defense) that wouldn't say what you said. To be honest you should have just said. Daniel Defense screwed up bought this design, couldn't fix it. Decided to make some money back by releasing to fanboys. The only positives about this gun is, it will be a collector's item and it proves that gun companies dont care about anything but money. They should have kept that thing in the dark and took a lose. But they have loyal customers, so Daniel Defense made them pay for their screw up.
I’ve only been around firearms for about 5-6 years now and I’ve never heard this term before, could you tell me what it means? Thank you in advance brother.
@@CajunMFN it's when the rounds tumble end over end instead of being stabilized by the barrel rotation. Means Daniel Defense chose the wrong twist rate for 9mm.
The two worst handguns I’ve ever owned were keltecs. A pmr-30(.22 wmr), and a p3at(.380). Followed by a Taurus revolver that had a cylinder that refused to lock. Love keltec designs but hate their qc.
Not necessarily. If you have a problem with excessive recoil on a 9mm handgun, when compared to your other 9mm handguns, there might be something wrong with the handgun. And it might be a design problem. There might be something wrong with the spring rates the manufacturer chose. Or something else. Excessive recoil might be an indication that the locking mechanism might not be working correctly. Pay attention to the way the gun is shooting and the way it feels when you shoot it. Don’t try to be macho and say people are wimps for not liking the recoil characteristics of certain handguns. The shooters aren’t wimps. Those handguns might be defective. Remember, an incorrectly designed 9mm handgun has more than enough energy to seriously injure you if it explodes at the wrong time. Pay attention to what’s going on to avoid getting hurt. It’s all fun and games till you end up missing some fingers or an eye or something else.

Or maybe I was just distracted by the video and didn't hear it, I don't know, lol.
It was a flawed design that was never flushed out by Hudson. It is built by a company as their first pistol offering. And, it's a first generation. This reminds me of the POF Tombstone. Cool looking and a great concept, but it won't run.
So much hype around this pistol when it was first released as the Hudson and now as the H9. High price point, reliability and keyhole issues doomed this firearm.
