Everyone knows that the South of Fresno is rough. But then you take a turn West and end up in a section…well, you’d rather not. The South West part of Fresno CA is a very rough area that has been virtually ignored for decades and allowed to go deeper into chaos.
It has created a tough living environment for the residents that call that area home. Luckily, there may just be a light at the end of the tunnel.
In today’s video, I want to talk about something that I am very excited about - the proposed plans to revitalize the South West side of Fresno through the means of a massive 1000+ affordable new housing development and how it could help or doom the residents of South West Fresno CA.
This part of town has had a rough go of it for the past few decades and most people tend to steer clear. But, with some exciting new plans in the works, there might be a and end to the doom for the South West side.
I'll be breaking down these proposed plans and what they mean for the neighborhood. From the government incentivizing affordable home and multi-unit developments, to the possibility of lifelong renters finally being able to own their own homes, this project has the potential to revitalize the South West side.
I’ll also cover how they could be helped along and the different organizations that are currently doing so. However, this will all not be smooth sailing.
There are some potential roadblocks that could make or break the success of this project. From lack of financial and homeownership literacy, the added financial burden of owning a home, and high investor favoritism / competition, there's a lot that needs to be taken into consideration.
So, let's dive in and see if the South West side of Fresno will finally get the healing it deserves.
