I'm doing a hybrid program and the flexibility is great. I prefer in person but if you want to work while in school, online or hybrid is the way to go.

I'm currently taking online classes for School Psychology at Brandman University. We do have one day out of the week where we do zoom. It's fun and so helpful since I'm a momma:) Love your video!!!

Fort Hayes University and Eastern WA University have online options. They still have small residency reqs though.

Your videos and Tiffany’s are so helpful! You both inspired me to apply for a school psych (specialist) program. If I wanted to connect/ask questions (Ive been accepted to a school psych program) would it be possible to reach out via message on Instagram or e-mail? I didn’t want to follow you on Instagram since your account is private without first asking which is the best way to ask you questions. As a bilingual professional myself, your being bilingual is definitely motivating!

My undergrad psychology degree required a research class our senior year in order to graduate. I know some schools don’t, but I do notice a lot of psych degrees near me requires it for undergrad. My grad program didn’t care at all about that (I’m in Texas). Just thought I’d add that lol

      Hi Mia!
I think they were referring to actually conducting research (e.g.research assistants), like in a lab assisting professors with research studies (some are paid and some aren't).
However, you are right, it is possible that some programs might want you to have some so I always encourage people to research the grad program they are hoping to get into so that they have all the boxes required checked off. Thanks for sharing! :)

Did you write a thesis for your bachelor’s degree? If not, do you think that is necessary?

I didn't have to, I don't believe you need to while in undergrad. You usually do that in grad school, but even then, some programs give you the option to either write a thesis or complete some type of big project.
