  • Kicked off our recreational lobster season by setting our 10 traps. Caught out own bait for the traps, set and let fish for 3 days before hauling to see what we get.

Why didn't you notch the female at 5:36?

Great video! Quick question where did you get your traps? Also how much were they?

I buy from a local trap builder. You can get trap kits from Hamilton Marine and New England marine for around $100 all in per trap. Comes with buoy, sinking line, and trap. Pretty basic setup but works if you only want to fish a few traps.

Great video???, the underwater footage was filmed in a freshwater pond, rewatch it and see all the pine needles come up when the trap hits the bottom. CZcams has other videos much better than this.

I don’t know where you fish in Massachusetts Bay but I’ve been fishing here over 60 years and NEVER seen pine needles on the bottom like your video has. That’s unless I was filming in a pond or lake. Poor attempt to fool everyone just for ratings. I would be embarrassed
