Setting aside politics, thanks for posting this video which clearly demonstrates how bad the construction noise remains. Loved this place before these changes.
Duka duka duka duka - construction noise. The oceanfront building is being converted to a condo. I’d avoid this Westin till 2020. If you ask the hotel, the construction is “done”. Condo construction which isn’t part of Westin is ongoing.

Hawaii this visit - top 3 would be the 2 Four Seasons - Lanai and Hualalai, and Trump Waikiki... just the feel of the places sets them apart...

That lobby was very grand as well - all these Hawaii hotels outdo each other with their spectacular lobbies!
Hawaii is good. If you make it to Koh Samui, check out the lobbies at Intercontinental or Conrad - clifftop Ocean views - mind blowing...

yes, to the extent Marriott Bonvoy points, I got this stay for free. Four Seasons are great though...
