@Chopper well, not to be the cynic but - hearts and minds don't change so quickly. If these people really cared about what's right and fair we wouldn't be in this mess. Time will tell where we end up in all this. One thing is for sure though, there are powerful people with a vested interest in keeping us all divided and at each other's throats. The only question is, will enough people realize it before it's too late.
@Chopper i've heard that example b4, and i've taken a good look at the privilege argument. I agree in so far as it's important to be thoughtful and consider the position of others. But there is a flaw with the privilege argument. All attributes (height, weight, income level, skin color, etc) come with Both upsides and downsides. The problem comes when one person presumes that people in the 'better off' category must have all upside. And the latter side in the 'worse off' category must have all downside. I feel this is a mistake, and oversimplification of our troubles. I want to play this song for both sides. I don't want just white people to think about how they could do things differently. In the black community we must learn to counteract the self-hate in our hearts. Learn to Love ourselves enough to research what's destroying our minds and bodies - to eat better, live better, and be better as a people. We got into this mess together. The only way out is for each side to really embrace and understand ourselves and our role in these issues. Really learn what each side has to offer, and cultivate those good things, minimize the downsides and forge a stronger unified country. That's my dream anyway.

i’m shocked this was even made into a music video (Where You Live) is a really good album it’s heartbreaking a woman with such limitless talent like Tracy Chapman has never been given a proper mainstream push..... Her music is real & pure
um what...she is one of the biggest artists in history and still is considered iconic - she played at Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday to a global audience of 200 million . She is mainstream in so much that she is endemic to the DNA of solo female artists today irrespective of how people might lament modern manufactured music. .. And not getting what you on about aside from affirming your comment the music is pure and real?!

Loving her music now like I loved it then.
Who is still listening to this masterpiece in 2022
When my dad died in 2011, I saw the face of God and love, and I fell in love with this song.
Hands down, her greatest song. And she has A LOT of great ones.
I have been her fan since 1980s...when she stole the show at the Grammy's while grabbing one for her song Fast Car...❤️❤️🤗🤗
Hello how are you doing, my name is Eric Moore how is the weather over there today
Who else discovered this absolute banger of a track from it being perfectly used in that hbo promo in 2007 and spent the last two days pacing around racking their brain trying to think of the title and artist?
I like Fast Car, but this is my favorite Tracy Chapman song. ❤
These are the words we need today! Love one another, all men are created equal #justiceforgeorgefloyd
Heidi courage, HOPE
I used to listen to a lot of joan armatrading and then tracy Chapman helped me change great things, and I now understand a lot more.
One of the best and honest singers.. her songs make you speechless for a moment..
Absolutely love this Woman’s attitude. Her timeless music is always deep and relevant.
Tracy Chapman lyrics should be required school curriculum.
Because of your song Tracy, as proof of my love for you, I will change... promise.
The radio stations don’t want us to hear this kind of music. Love you, sister!
Yes, you are correct.......it brings unity...peace. .harmony......
Courage, HOPE.
She is amazing
To true
Change only happens when you put in the works🇺🇸🙏
This song is a masterpiece. At this point she is making Shakespeare look shady
Tracy Chapman sang from her soul to yours.. we need Tracey chapman singers in the 21st century....singing about truth and real sincerity..were are the 21st century songwriters????
I miss Tracy, I hope she'll come back to the music world soon.
Why did she leave
She is coming back this year. I promise you that big or a little she will show up now. Since she will see our love. Please go to all her videos and like comment and if you can share. She will come back.
The Music World does not deserve her! They will only to kill her!
I don't want to start an argument, but this is, like, "Bob Dylan, hold my beer", really.
To me, she is the greatest American folk singer songwriter ever.
I was never moved by Dylan's songs the way I'm moved by her songs.
she IS a masterpiece
Ohne Worte. Nur Herz❤. Nicht von dieser Welt...
From so many of us out here... Thank YOU!!!!!! Thank you for sharing your music, your dreams, your fears and your heart for so many decades. Thank you for being our voice when we couldn't speak. Thank you.
Yes!
Such an amazing song. I only just discovered this one a few days ago and it really speaks to me on a deep level. Tracy Chapman is an absolutely amazing artist and singer and she is beautiful.
2020. This is so gorgeous. Just hearing this now for the first time. Oh, I love you, Tracy.💓
(I was born March 30th, too, haha😘)
Hello how are you doing, my name is Eric Moore how is the weather over there today
Dear goddess Chapman, I once said to myself, whilst listening to your music (this one): No, despite everything I wouldn't change". And yet, I've changed or, better said, I've been changed.
Anybody going through sobriety or emotional conflict issues should take a listen to this song.
Thank God for Tracey Chapman her music has gotten me through alot and I I feel not alone in this world
Hello how are you doing, my name is Eric Moore how is the weather over there today
@@ericmoore3791 hi my name is Brenda how are you doing today the weather is great today yup. How is the weather where you are
@@brendacornwell4481 I'm good thank you
@@brendacornwell4481 so where are you from
@@ericmoore3791 Oklahoma where are you located
I love ALL of her songs she is so poetic and her songs have meaning
This song should be considered a hymn and played in church before every service.
#TRACYCHAPMAN #WHEREYOULIVE It can be difficult to make necessary changes in our lives.Change is hard. We have become comfortable with the familiar. But, sometimes we need to do a new thing to improve ourselves. Tracy always seems to speak about things we are or have gone through. Its as though she has "a window into our souls" 😀👍👍👍🎸🎹🥁🎸💝❤️💖💜💛💚🧡
Brings me to tears every time.
Hello how are you doing, my name is Eric Moore how is the weather over there today
i’m shocked this was even made into a music video (Where You Live) is a really good album it’s heartbreaking a woman with such limitless talent like Tracy Chapman has never been given a proper mainstream push.....
Listen to crossroads and you'll know why they never pushed her.
@@dbartyzel I'll admit I haven't kept up on all Tracy's stuff But, her debut album & Where You live are strong albums.... Music in general is all about smoke & mirrors
@@dbartyzel .... Oh you're so correct! Crossroads is TRUTH 🌹 and overall people prefer lies! " The lyrics " All you demons go back to hell. Save my soul, save myself!" Tracy Chapman is true to her convictions! 🙏🕊️💖
She knows what really there and wants to stay next to god all the way through it she doesn’t need a push she needs to stay real, if she got that push her music wouldn’t be the same and wouldn’t have same affect on people where as she trying to gather and bring good souls to heaven is all
My daughter died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2011. She bought me this CD before she died but I didn’t listen to it until after she died. When I heard this song it really affected me.
I saw them film this music video. I actually sat down and talked with Tracy. She actually is quite beautiful and I just melted into the chair every time she smiled as she spoke. She is a lovely person.
You were so lucky... i'm jealous
Love this woman. She is so underrated omg!
A song that lingers and lingers and makes you come back here to listen again and again... Beautiful, warm voice and lyrics that are relevant more than ever in today's world. 💙👏🏻🌻
Yes, her voice: ohh, I'm glad you said that. Her voice Is beautiful and warm. I always thought her face was warm looking, but I didn't extend that to her voice!
Happy valentines day to the one who knows 💔💔
Yeshua “Jesus” Christ changes a person and transforms the hearts of sinners towards reconciliation with God and love for God.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ (Messiah), he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Cor 5:17
So glad Tracy hasn’t changed.
Como eu amo essa cantora. Tracy é uma das maiores vozes femininas da música. Os anos passam, e suas músicas mantém o mesmo frescor.
Perfect, brilliant song, my favourite of her's. I don't know how she manages to write lyrics that both cut like a knife, and at the same time soothe.
2022 and this song still hits right
my dad showed me song one of many of the greatest songs in the world like stephen marley and bob marley......all good reggae vibes......love this christian song always go back to this song all the time when I can......
Ever so often I listen to this song and resonate with every single word. But, will I change?
????????????????????????????????? then?????? do it???
No and that is okay
Makes me think you are trying to change into someone else's idea of who you should be. What do you want to be?
This, along with so many things lately, breaks my heart.
This song truly touches my soul
Hello how are you doing, my name is Eric Moore how is the weather over there today
Thank you Tracy for your music and your beautiful soul
Hello how are you doing, my name is Eric Moore how is the weather over there today
OMG. Tuned into Tracy Chapman at a sleepless 3 am . Going from one song to another and wondering where the hell this wonderful singer is today?! Hear her with Clapton on Give Me One Reason ...but there are so many songs ....
The World's such a better place for Tracy.....beautiful :-)
engages the mind tugs at the heart and stirs the soul

First time listening to Tracy... It's beautiful
Wow this beauty soul heart oh my god what a great musician
No she is a master poet of the heart and has genius talent singing our lives.
Such an underrated talent and perhaps the best left as such.. Her HONESTY and DEBTH of her writing which goes straight to one’s soul is not done for commercial success she simply goes straight to the heart ! ❤❤❤❤❤
