When my daughter tells me that modern pop singers can sing, I just start playing Otis. End of discussion.
Add Luther Vandross to the mix.
And Aretha. My generation had the best. I do remember feeling so sad when I heard he died. Otis actually recorded Respect first and it was a good seller for him. But when Aretha recorded it, he made the statement that the song belonged to her now. Miss them both. 😊🇨🇦
Tom Jones
There are some modern pop singers that can sing. I love this song. I am just 30 though. I didn't start listening to Motown music until high school . I had heard some Motown music as a kid.
Facts
Jay & Amber, you'll love his "These Arms of Mine"!!!! Arguably the greatest soul singer of all-time!!
Yes!! My favourite vocal from Otis ❤️ impossible to listen to that song and not fall in love with him!
I forgot about that one! Oooh, what a song!
Otis didn't just HAVE soul. He WAS soul.
That is a must, “These arms of mine”!!
Love, love, love that song!
I can honestly say that Otis Redding is one of only a select few artists that I love everything they did. Honestly, I’ve never heard a bad Otis song and he was the first singer that I absolutely could not get enough of. Sam Cooke is amazing as well and I always turn it up when they come on! Percy Sledge gets an honorable mention here too, but Otis’s voice makes clothes fall off!!
You could go on and on about how great R & B or soul is today, and it would fall on my deaf ears. Otis IS soul music… there will never be another like him.
I know so many of you are with me thinking of Duckie from the movie "PRETTY IN PINK" lip syncing this song. I really want them to react to this movie. Jay, don't judge the movie based on its name. It's soo good and deep in ways. Starring Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer (Charlie Sheen's brother in the show 2 and a half men) and Andrew McCarthy. ❤️
Upvote x 1000! Came here to say this!
@@orcoastgal 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@orcoastgal Same! One of my all-time favorite movie scenes!
Yep! I'm sure my parents played it when I was a little girl, but my first actual memory of hearing it was in that movie. Hands down my favorite scene!
Yes...this song reminds of the movie Pretty in Pink! This is a must watch movie just to see Duckie lip sync and dance to this song!
Oh, this is so good. Otis Redding's performance at the Monterey Pop festival was as groundbreaking as Janis's and Jimi's. The live version is incredibly powerful! "I've Been Loving You Too Long," "These Arms of Mine," and "Hard To Handle," are other great choices.
I'm seconding "I've Been Loving You Too Long".
Add my name to that suggestion too.. The ultimate version of this song which goes way back originally to the 1930s.
There will never be another Otis Redding… simply food for your soul. Lots of great artists of classic soul. Percy Sledge Jay!!! When a Man Loves a Woman. Otis is just on a different level, never to be touched. Sam Cooke is close. Always wondered what music would’ve developed if he and Sam had lived to an older age. Tragic.
This is what I heard when I was a kid... The organ music you hear in so many '60s and '70s songs was one of the protests used by the hippies (young people) against the Establishment (old folks who were sending young men to war). I had been told that up until that time there was no organ music in modern music (hippies) it was only for church music (Establishment). I have always believed that was true, I still believe it.
I agree! I was actually hoping they were doing the Monterey version, cause it was rockin!
Otis Redding!!! Love his voice and style. "Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay" is one of my all-time favorite songs. "Try A Little Tenderness" is a terrific performance. Love, love, love him.
Sittin' on the dock of the bay is my favorite also. Great artist.
Otis was also great songwriter in the 60s. He wrote the song R-e-s-p-e-c-t that was later covered by Aretha Franklin. And when he heard her version he famously said,
" that's her song now! "
He never said that, he was already dead when she covered that song
@@danielhaines3940 Otis Redding died December 10th 1967. Aretha recorded the song in February 14th of 1967. That is 11 months before he died. That is plenty of time for Otis to have heard it. Since it was one of the biggest records of the year I'm certain he did. Being that he wrote it and all.... I'm sure he noticed
@@danielhaines3940 but why take my word for it? Why don't we ask the man himself? Here he is at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival czcams.com/video/WWoDflSKHh4/video.htmlsi=0pIaLAYDCv-XgDWi
Love, love, love Otis. He and Sam Cooke melt my heart. Soulful, emotional, and timeless.
For me, Sam & Marvin. Can you imagine that duo ?
Otis was a big fan of Sam Cooke, and He sang this song because Sam Cooke made a version of this song.

czcams.com/video/ZSnlQ2ULTQU/video.html
I think this is Otis' best performance. Enough soul for a whole week. He didn't invent soul singing... but he perfected it.
Three Dog Night did a great cover and Steppenwolf covered this song amazingly , with a different arrangement
Otis Redding's biggest hit is Dock of the Bay
Better than Otis
Definitely Cory Welles of 3 Dog Night did a magnificent performance
Three Dog Night's cover is PHENOMENAL. It can stand toe-to-toe with Otis Redding's amazing delivery. Definitely recommend for a future reaction.
@@oregonchick76 I like it better than Otis, tbh
@@lilamuzik3385 agreed
Who’s always reminded of Ducky every time they hear this song?
He wrote I can't turn you loose, sung by everybody including the blues bothers, He wrote Respect Aretha took that to the moon. In the movie the Blues brothers most of that band was his band in real life.
Otis is the man, phenomenal sound. Amazing song. As Duckie from 80s Pretty in Pink movie would say, "this is a very great tone, my mother would sing this to me. This is Otis, I love Otis". Duckies' Dance/Lipsync Scene (Try A Little Tenderness) is soooo awesome, fun, I love it. First thing I think of now when I hear it, eccept for the soulful sound that melts ya. Thanx so much, stay groovy, Peace
LOVE that scene!!!
@@carlaharrington5120 I know right 🥰
His name is Blane? That's a major appliance, that's not a name!
@@nadzee7101 Hahahaha, love it.
Try a Little Tenderness was first recorded in 1932. It was a Depression era song. The arrangements for Otis Redding was a stroke of genius.
The old versions are OK, but those old recordings are so dull compared to Otis Redding's arrangement. He breathed fresh life into an old stale song. And every version since Otis has him to thank. I particularly like the version by the Commitments, which is mostly a straight rip-off of Otis's version, but they do include some girl backup singers, which is a great addition.
@@richardpowell1220 Love the film. Young Andrew Strong did a very decent job, but Otis has my heart with Try a Little Tenderness.
Arrangements by Booker T. & The MG's. Guitarist Steve Cropper also co-wrote "Dock Of The Bay" with Otis.
@@richardpowell1220 This version is by far, my favorite; but this is a just song I love by anyone, even the old dull, sappy ones. And I am a Blues, R&B, Soul life-long connoisseur. The music of my life and culture.
Now you know why Janis was so in love with Otis and emulated his style with NA NA'S and certain growls not to mention stage presence truly truly truly one of the greatest entertainers ever and a national treasure!!!
Otis had that crowd in the palm of his hand at the Monterey Pop Festival in ‘67. Phenomenal
One of the great soul singers. Janis Joplin loved his performance and style and was influenced by him. They crossed paths at the Monterey Pop festival in 1967. His performance there is worth watching. Interesting that Sitting by the Dock of the Bay became a hit after his tragic death in plane crash.
Oh yeah, you can definitely hear Otis' influence when listening to Janis. I wonder one thing though.... "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" was actually unfinished. The whistling was used by Otis because he hadn't written the last verse. If he hadn't died.... would he have left it alone or would there be another verse? I personally love the way it turned out but if he'd finished it, we'd never have known about the whistling part. Sorry to ramble, been a long day and I'm tired lol
@ Jennifer Bunn. Otis considered the song "unfinished" because he hadn't recorded a version he wanted to release. The majority of the lyrics were written by Steve Cropper based on suggestions from Otis. Steve was never going to write another verse.
The whistling was just something spontaneous that Otis dropped in.
The Association did a cover of Dock of the Bay, and mixed Otis vocals back in.. it was a RadioShack only release in the late 80s
@@caretaker158 This is also what I had heard.
The whistling was a placeholder for the incomplete verse.
Recorded in 1966, this became Otis's signature song and was his biggest seller. Redding didn't want to record this as his idol Sam Cook had done a version in 1964 and he felt it would be disrespectful. After pressure from Stax records executive, he recorded it, with the pleading vocals he assumed wouldn't be released. He was backed by Booker T and the MGs on this tune and it became a massive hit. 🎶🎶🎶 This song has been covered by Frank, Mel snd Bing. Also more recent 3 Dog Night. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
There’s also a great cover of this in the film The Commitments, which they have to watch for their film reaction channel!
I grew up on the Three Dog Night version and never realized it was a cover until well into my 30s.
Booker T and the MGs. A great mix of pure Musicians!!! Got their Hip Hugger album. Su-weet !!
It’s hip-hug her lol which is funnier
Never knew Booker T played on this song. Thanks for the info Mary. Hardly a day
goes by I don't listen to some Booker T. Love those guys.
Otis singing this song live at the Monterey Pop festival is probably the greatest performance in the history of R and B . He gives every bit of his being to that crowd . Out of breath in-between songs, he let it all out . Mind-blowing is an understatement. A must hear ( and see ) for anyone who loves music.
Saw it! I totally agree.
What a fantastic beautiful song. We miss you Otis
Omg YES! This song is an absolute classic! It’s also in one of my favorite scenes from the John Hughes film Pretty In Pink. Hoping you’ll react to that on your movie channel one day, I know you’ll love it.
FANTASTIC MOVIE 🙏
Duckie 😄
Super fun Iconic scene in the
record store🎶🎤
You forgetting a whole film based around Otis. The Commitments
Otis' performance of "I''ve Been Loving You Too Long" at the Monterey Jazz Festival is a must listen...one of the best performances of all time. You've watched a Janice Performance from that very festival.
Duckie Dale dancing to this in Pretty In Pink is a great movie gem. The Commitments from the movie of the same name do a fantastic version of this song.
Great version in the movie duets also. Would be a good film to react to.
I was sad when I heard about his passing in 1967. I was in high school back then... Miss you Otis, us baby boomers were spoiled with amazing music and real musicians of different labels from the 1950s-1970s throughout our teens/20s. We had amazing Soul music. Us boomers had Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, Percy Sledge, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder, Etta James, Ruth Brown etc..you GenXers don't have a clue what you missed and no projecting about other gens since u missed as much as them so don't bother responding
You’re damn right we were.. music of today’s filled with the N-word which I cringe every time I hear
We grew up at the best time!
I was born in 67, so this is before my time.
What a voice.
I remember visiting Hard Rock Cafe here in Vegas and they had a window piece from the plane on display.
We sure did. The best ever.
Absolutely! Otis was an amazing artist. Every song he ever did was so good! I have to be honest and say there are very few artists out there now that I even like or listen to. I like "my" music better 😊
Otis is THE soul voice. He was taken from the world far too early. I saw him in London when I was a young teenage & was blown away by his energetic performance.
As much as I love this song and the soulful sound of Otis I will forever see the Duckman from Pretty In Pink when I hear it.
I love this movie so much! I really hope they react to it. We just have to convince Jay not to judge it based on the name. Lol
YES!!! Love that scene!!!
Yep!!
Duckies Legendary Dance to this song.....
Pretty in Pink ☺️✌️💞
Otis wasn’t afraid to let the words “just hang there”, in the air. Loved this.
Otis Redding's live performance of "I've Been Loving You (Too Long)" from the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival is perhaps his seminal live performance. Watch that video and you'll also see that he has not only a great singer, but a great performer as well.
One of the most amazing things about Otis Redding is that he was only in his 20s when he was singing this, yet his voice has the soul of a much older man and it just hits you in every song he does. Him getting to the part you loved toward the end...if a person doesn't love that, you need to check your pulse. I highly recommend "These Arms of Mine," "Mr. Pitiful" and "Can't Turn You Loose." But as many have said, you can't go wrong with anything by Otis Redding who was taken from us far too young.
One of the greatest songs/voices of all time. 👏🏼❤
A little tenderness always works for me!💕Loved him! Gone way to soon!
One of the greatest Soul Singers ever IMO !!!!! Y'all bout to go to church !!!
If you want to see a great performance of "Try a little Tenderness" Watch Otis do the "Live from London" version, on video. Its amazing. You guys are hitting my 60's vibes. Otis died when I was about 6 and I bawled my eyes out. That man was so good and so beloved. For me, living with teenage siblings, I was exposed to music since birth. The first record I asked for ,at 5, was The Box Tops "The Letter". My cat is named Alex after Alex Chilton. Gladys Knight was my favorite female singer, then The Shangri-las and later Janice. I envy being able to hear it for the first time. Enjoy.
Gladys Knight and Roberta Flack have always been in my top ten of all time!🎙
This song is so good. I love the Commitments doing this song in their movie. It’s been done by so many people. But dang, Otis is the man!
Beat part of the movie
In the urban community there's a big difference between being able to sing and being able to sang and Otis can SANG. So much emotion, feeling, and passion.
Jay, react to Dennis Edwards (former Temptations) "Don't Look Any Further" for another surprise sample!
This was brought back to light in Pretty In Pink. Duckie sings with it. Excellent song.
That is a movie that you need to react to(instead of Harry Potter movies). John Cryer's scene with this song is classic.
*VIVA LA DUCKIE!!!*
I can't hear this song without thinking of Duckie.
@@ronbruno5942 Harry Potter is a great series. I think when the girls become teens Amber and them should do Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, ( they already watched) 13 going on 30 ( girls night )
@@TheRealSubourbonMermaid Me as well. I see him sliding in the record store.
One of the all-time favorites from 1967, he sang this song from his soul!
There’s an iconic live performance of this, from the Monterey Pop Festival. Kids- I was at that show! I was standing directly beneath where he stood on stage! The man was totally electric!
Mama Cass monologue about her and John Lennon was hysterical
Wow ! What a memory, lucky you. ✌️
As a young man of the sixties, I felt my passions and feelings expressed by the soul singers of that era.
Otis was one of the best and my personal favorite.
I wept when I heard of his accidental death.
Otis Redding died when he was 26! He recorded this at 25. It’s crazy how old and soulful his voice sounds.
Soul pure simple ,straightforward and POWERFUL .
One of the best soul songs ever. The band was Booker T and MG's. Also produced by Isaac Hayes. Hall of Fame musicians.
Otis is truly the best.
This song is pure soul! I first heard this amazing tune back in the 80s in a Brat Pack movie Pretty in Pink! In the record store while Molly Ringlwald is hanging out and John Cryer as Duckie does a performance trying to win Molly’s character over. Go watch the scene. It’ll give you a whole other look of Alan from Two and a Half Men.
JAY and AMBER, Please watch the entire movie! It's really really good 🙏
Almost criminal that you haven’t reacted to more Otis! One of the greatest voices and soulful singers of all time.
You really must do “Hard to handle”, “My girl” and “Shake”
guys there is a scene in a movie called "pretty in pink" with this song. the movie is by the same director as breakfast club and ferris bueller and i think amber Will love that movie
Yessss!!! They'll both love this movie. But we have to get Jay to get past the name of the movie. He'll really like it a lot. Classic 👍🏻
Otis Redding to ME and MINE is a top 25 voice in music. He had a velvet smooth Smokey quality to his hits. An the fact he died so young we missed a good 25+ years of his work it is a damn shame. @Rob Squad you both did not hear this already, but glad you did not so we could enjoy those faces when you heard this :)
My favorite of his. His passing at 26 as his star was on a serious rise hurts the heart. What he left behind is immeasurable but you can tell he would've had so much more to give the music world.
Otis absolutely killed it when he did this song in concert, often at the end. And when you thought it was over he and his band would come back with a chaser of this. He put out a lot of great music in too short a period of time. Check out "Respect" (which he wrote) and "I can't turn You Loose."
The version of this song, recorded by The Commitments, is perhaps one of the greatest covers ever! Highly recommend! (And Amber will love it because there's lots of real musical instruments playing too!)
If you love this music time for a movie review...The commitments. The best music movie ever funny as hell 👍
"The Commitments" covered this song about 10 or 15 years ago in a movie of the same name. The cover is really good, but no one can can even come near Otis' version.
One of the greatest singers and lost to us entirely too soon. These Arms of Mine and Love Man are on the Dirty Dancing movie soundtrack. For a couple of faster songs, Mr. Pitful and Shake, especially the live performance from Monterey Pop Festival are excellent. Watch a live performance if you get a chance so you can see his style and how much energy he poured into what he did.
I love songs like this, with that slow, steady buildup and then WHAM, hits ya right in the gut and just blows you away.
This calls to mind a movie I'd love to see a reaction for ... The Commitments. It's about an Irish soul band that did a really nice cover of this song.
They would LOVE the movie!
"These Arms of Mine," is a MUST to listen to. Otis is FIRE and also heartbreakingly vulnerable in it. 🙌🏾
Love, love Otis so much soul!! Was loved by all people who heard that VOICE!!!❤️💕🛸☝️🙏🙏
His voice gives me goosebumps 😊
Released in 67” 45 yrs before sampled - goes to prove the original always the very best !! Got the LP “Otis live in Europe “ with Try a little tenderness “ the horns organ and his voice comes over so much deeper You can’t beat Quality RIP Otis
But this isn't the original. Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby recorded this song long before Otis or Three Dog Night did!
@@daveowens9849 yes I agree but I was reacting to the sampling statement which neither Crosby or Sinatra s. content has to my knowledge been done
YESSSS!!!! Mr. Otis Redding!! He is the man. This was my parents' music. My Mom said she was a young woman when Otis Redding was singing. She went to the Apollo Theater to hear him sing when she was living in New York. She said she was working as a licensed cosmetology st and the windows to the building she worked in were oprn. She heard Otis Redding's song Pain in My Heart playing across the street from the record shop. She stopped work and ran over right away to buy the record. I grew up listening to him and love his music. Try listening to Pain in My Heart, Tramp, I've Got Dreams to Remember, These Arms of Mine. They're all great!
I love the way this song builds. He starts with just a soft ensemble, practically acapella, then the drums start that tick tick tick to get things moving, then the organ kicks in hard, and finally the drums take over again with the march to the end. On the Live In Europe album, the MC comes in at the fade with "Got to hear some more of Otis." Yes you do.
Otis was raw pure talent and he always brought passion and soul ... just like Amber said!! He was an amazing gift 🎁🙏 and I absolutely love this song!! The build up toward the end is fire!! Thank you for making me smile with your reactions!! ❤️ @RobSquadReactions
This is actually your four Otis reaction. You've done "Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay", "I've Been Loving You Too Long", and "Merry Christmas Baby". Bit of Otis Trivia.... Everyone knows Aretha Franklin for "Respect", which became one of her signature songs. But that song was written and originally recorded by Otis Redding. (Of course, Aretha had to flip a few pronouns around to make it work for her.) Oh, and you also might remember that one line of this song was sung by Donkey in Shrek.
I’m so glad you finally got to this one. My oh my- nobody can do it like Otis!
Continue to R.I.P Mr Otis Redding. You'll never be forgotten. Thanks guys.
One of the best voices in music. The build up with this song gives me chills. Also check out the movie PRETTY IN PINK. The character Duckie does a great lip synch version of this in a record store - Iconic moment.
You guys should watch Pretty in Pink. There's a good lip sync scene of this song by one of the characters named Ducky!
❤️
I have loved Otis since I was a Teen in the late 60’s🥰. He puts so much into his performances, I am sure he had the ladies head over heels in love with him 💋. I find it a difficult thing to have his songs done by other people, but you should check out Three Dog Night doing this Otis song in a - live- performance … I think Otis would be smiling down on Corey singing lead 😻💜☮️
1st time I heard Otis redding was in1967 at the monterey pop festival
It's sad that he passed too soon
But his music 🎶 lives on
You owe it to yourselves to watch Otis Redding's Monterey Pop Festival performance of this song.
You also owe it to yourselves to watch Three Dog Night's version of this song with the late Cory Wells on lead vocal.
Oooh. My favorite Otis song. Dock of the Bay is great, but this one captures Redding's dynamic range like nothing else.
Omigod the greatest. Great singer, great style, great songwriter. All you have to say is "Otis" and people know who you're talking about.
He sings like a tiger holding back his growl. I listen anticipating the roar. When the tempo picks up he does not disappoint.
I was a child when he died and had to catch up with some of his stuff as I got older. A true loss to music lovers.
I first heard Try a Little Tenderness on Three Dog Night's debut album. THEN became aware of Otis' version ... 🔥
Same for me... J and Amber even "educating" some Old Farts
Great Choice. Another great Otis Redding song is “Sitting on the dock of the Bay” Three Dog Night did an amazing cover of Try a Little Tenderness.
Otis Redding, the epitome of Smooth and Rough, and the man who created the song "Respect", had a voice that spoke directly from the Soul.
I was in the Hard Rock Hotel, in Las Vegas, and came around the corner, and saw, up on the wall, a bent piece of metal, with the name Otis, on it. It was the door, to Redding's plane, that, tragically, went down, robbing the world of insane amounts of talent.
I, instantly, cried. Overwhelmed, to see that.
May his continuing journey, be blessed, in God's Grace.
I love this song! It also makes me think of the 80s movie "Pretty in Pink." There's a scene in there with this song.
A great cover to this song was done for a 1991 small, indie movie called "The Commitments". It's about a group of young people in Ireland's urban ghetto trying to chase a dream of a record deal by singing "Dublin soul". The acting is top notch and the songs are fantastic.
And it’s one of the funniest films ever made.

The best Irish movie in three decades🎉🎉🎉
This song is one of many songs featured in PRETTY IN PINK, a movie that was very popular in 1986. That movie would be an excellent one for you guys to watch on your movie channel.
You GenXers missed this
I love the way this song builds intensity throughout
Like most people; I listen to music, when I'm going to work. I work at a grocery store and had been listening to 'The Best of Otis Redding' that day. As I'm coming in from the parking lot, I'm singing, just loud enough for someone to hear 'Try A Little Tenderness', not really noticing that there was someone outside of the store, set up to try to raise money for a worthy cause. A couple of hours latter I'm outside, for some reason, and I pass this guy again, who stops me and asks me what I was singing when I first showed up. Had to think and remember, but told him, this song, which he had appeared to had never heard of. Nice to think that I introduced someone to an artist they never heard of.
After reacting to this you really must watch and react to the movie "The Commitments " it is full of great music and great voices. Particularly that of 16 year old Andrew Strong. You will be stunned at the sounds coming from that boy's mouth. That boy has soul. It's also a very funny movie.
By the way, if Otis were alive and in his prime today, JayZ and Kanye wouldn't even be on the same plane of existence.
Three Dog Night had an early hit with their cover of "Try a Little Tenderness". It peaked at #29 on the Billboard top 100 in 1969.
Otis' cover of Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones is absolutely crazy! (especially live)
THESE ARMS OF MINE!!! Every Otis song is a banger but that's still my all time fave and I know you guys would love it
You should see this one live. Otis just goes off!

Love me some Otis. He was gone too soon. What a voice.
There's also a brief moment in "Shrek" when Donkey sings a couple of lines from this song.
No doubt this is the best version, but there was a cute movie in early 90s called The Commitments, about an Irish band trying to bring soul to Dublin... that lead singer absolutely slays this one! You guys would probably get a kick out of that movie! Another great reaction, thanks! ❤✌

Yeah,You have some awesome Soul coming out of Mr Otis Redding, thank you for this 😊❤
Otis was on another level. Some years ago I showed his Monterey performance of this song to my class of jaded high schoolers, which included some pretty talented musicians. One simply said afterward, "That's the best thing I've eever seen.!
THANK YOU!!! So many people only know him for Dock of the Bay, and tbh I can't stand that song. It's been overplayed for the last 50 years and it's not even a good example of his talent because it was so overly produced in the studio. Check out I've been Loving You Too Long. You will feel it in your soul, I promise. I love you guys SO MUCH!! {{{hugs}}}
P.S. Otis is in the Rock Hall if you ever get there. (You need to go, on the real).
Otis Redding was a rare talent that left the world far too soon. A lot of folks commenting here have mentioned that Booker T & the MGs were the band on this song. Y'all should check out some of their recordings, especially "Green Onions" & "Time is Tight".
Barry Gibb was introduced to Redding by The Bee Gees manager at the time Robert Stigwood. He ask Barry to write a song for Otis to sing.He liked the song but before he could he be and six others were killed in a plane crash it was to Love Somebody which would become one of their most beloved songs and the most covered. You need to hear the "Commitments" version of this song... its AMAZING!
Listening to this, I'm remembering the scene from "Pretty in Pink" with Duckie dancing to this song and the movie "The Commitments" about a group of Irish singers who wanted to emulate American Black bands and artists. Time to spice up your movies.
Greatest soul voice of all time,MR.OTIS REDDING..MACON GA.
I can’t hear this song without thinking of Ducky’s epic lip sync performance from Pretty in Pink! 😆
