The smoke definitely have a sleeker look kind like a players distance iron. I like the clean look of TaylorMade but just wish they weren't so chunky. Also both companies have a 150% trade-in bonus, Callaway seems to give you a lot more for your trade. I went with the smoke irons and driver, haven't played a lot with them but distance and forgiveness are pretty damn good.

Thank you for the honest head-to-head review. I am debating on which one of these two to get. I was looking throughout CZcams for a review of both head-to-head. The few that I found do not come to as honest a conclusion as you do. They tended to be more vague stating that both are great...which they are...but never state which one they honestly feel is better. I was actually rooting for the TaylorMade QI to "win" in your review since I like the look of it a bit more but now I am seriously considering the Callaway AI Smoke instead.

Thank you! 🙏🏻 callaway ai smoke has definitely added a spanner into the works this year and in my opinion must be tested. However it’s only my opinion so would still say it’s worth trying both and maybe another 2 or 3 options to fully nail it down to your favourite/ best performer. Darkspeed is a good test, G430 and T350 to name a few!

A fitting showed the AI Smoke was much better for me! I agree 100% here, looks, small top line, sound, feel, distance, etc. etc. we’re ALL better.
I’ve been through well over a dozen iron sets in the last few years and the AI Smoke is the winner after years of searching.

I got fitted and the ai smoke was the club I hit best, I wanted titleist irons but had to trust the data. They seem less game improvey than others in the class which suits me as i like a little forgiveness but not clubs that focus and design solely for it. Mine arrive today cant wait to play em.
