I cant see how it would be more efficient than regular props with all that AoA change through the cycle, but it would be great to see comparitive testing.

uniform blade speed and no retreating blade stall probably the biggest factors in high speed efficiency, but that's my speculation.
additionally the blade loading might be more even since the profile is at a constant shape and speed too.
another thing to note is that you don't need to wait for RPM to increase thrust with the cyclorotor design.
eventually we all will see the data and be able to make an informed comparison.
