*_Great run_* -- as per usual! One minor idea (on the off chance you haven't considered it), re 3:40:38 -- set the condition to passenger present... then just hop on and off the train when you're done pulling stuff from it, and you don't even have to open the GUI, but ARE guaranteed that it'll wait for you. That technique works well for me, anyway. :) (Just be sure to get rid of or AND the 5 seconds time condition, too, or obviously it's a problem.)

It's to make sure absolutely nothing goes down that one belt. I've seen others use rocket silos in the filter as well. He also does it so he can be quick, copy paste etc.

Congrats! Question/possible suggestion: would it be beneficial or a hindrance if you used different chests up to bots? For the chests you want to upgrade to logistics chests, use a different type than the ones you don't want to upgrade, then you can use an upgrade planner and just select everything? In this way you wouldn't have to hunt for the ones you want. Genuinely asking, not back seat driving.
It may not save enough time when you factor in either having to harvest more wood for wood chests or getting steel chests, plus the additional brain processing power to single out the correct chest usage in the pre-bot construction
@@Zethalai Makes complete sense, thanks! It's probably easier to single out the upgrade for the bots when you have a period of waiting, or to keep the bots tasked.
Nefrums, not sure you are reading this but you keep complaining about UPS issues. What strikes me is that the issue started after return of vacation, which was just after retbleed mitigations were rolled out. You would have got them with Windows update. Those might explain performance loss of up to 20%, if you are on Intel CPU or all but the very latest AMD (Zen3 was not impacted).
I'm in awe. There are a couple of spots such as 2:05:20 where you place a mining blueprint, cancel a portion of it, and then undo the cancellation. What does this do?
Undo is a higher priority in the logistics queue than construction, including undoing the cancelation. Basically makes sure that nearby drones get on the thing ASAP even if they're busy with something else.
Construction queues work by that the game loops through all ghosted enteties and try to send bots to them. If there are thousands of ghosts the loop takes a while. The reconstruction of half the bp makes those ghosts to be at a different pace in the big construction queue. Meaning that the bots at the outpost will be ordered to build things twice every loop instead of only ones.
@@r3tr0_r3dux_2 Just to clarify, the drop will drop 1 item over the currently selected machine/furnace, and moving to a different machine will drop another item, hence waving the cursor all around to try and evenly distribute the coal. Just make sure you start over a machine, or you will start dropping stuff on the ground.

I have a question. Why are blueprints from previous games allowed in a new game when going for a speedrun? As much of a great run that was, I can't help but feel like this is a bit cheating.
I would like to see the Devs play the game. I don't get or know how I am suppose to play the game. None of that "play how you like it". It is a lie, I cannot play the way I want or build the way I want, because the map limits, the resources limits, the positioning limits, the biters limits. And different maps requires a different way to build. I want to know How I can figure it out which way to build on a certain by looking how the map is. And for this, I want to see the devs play the game.

It usually is built by bots, but it's also usually a closer call. That was cool to see with like 5 minutes to spare, IIRC. :)
