  • The market has picked up some so hauling these kids and lambs to the Norwood Missouri sale. They didn't bring what I had hoped but that's the market.

That was one of my favorite shows growing up. We would always watch at my grandparents house. Ugh good times and much simpler times

Wow that black and white spotted at the 5:30 mark really caught my eye. Nice looking one

Thanks for sharing, your videos are very informative. When taking large lots of sheep and goats to the sale do you have to have health certificate papers on them? Just curious, I do where I am when crossing state lines.

I’m within reasonable distance to that auction. Am I better off selling as wethers or billies there? TIA

I'm not sure. You should call the manager there, Marcus Hoover 417-293-7190.

    Whats your transport fees cost?

Do you mind sharing your profit from the sale? I’m not sure my math was right on those lambs that came through the ring at $2.70 a pound. That’s 12,970 x $2.70 right??? You just made a killing if that’s what it was

Yes, but you have expenses in them.

@@grandviewlivestock3936 you’re right, but I’d say with your well thought out grazing system you are doing much better than some I know of!! Bringing home 30k from one trip to the sale barn has to feel like a big achievement

Im in PA and I just got $1.05 for my 90 lbs lambs and $2.50 for the 50lbs lambs. I still don't understand why anyone would want to butcher a lamb that small, there isn't much meat...but that's what the market wants:) Do you notice the same thing with the weights?

@@McCoyFamilyFarm Yes, heavier than 75 lbs. doesn't pay the feed bill here.
