Is Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground Worth the Cost??? Camping Experience & Full Tour

- We are staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground on our first real camping trip in our new motorhome. This was one of the first places we wanted to visit as we had stayed here in the cabins before but wanted to stay in the campground too.
This is a pricey campground... so is it worth the cost?? We think so. Disney does everything at an exceptional level! Staying here, you not only have access to Disney World, but there are so many great amenities here! Two trading posts (general stores), a huge swimming pool with a slide and kid's splash pad, nightly movies and campfires with characters, tennis court and playgrounds, and so much more.
You can rent golf carts to get around the huge campground by the day. They also have bike rentals, canoe and kayak rentals and if you want to go out on Bay Lake, you can rent a boat.
This is a great campground and we will most definitely be back!

You have no idea how uplifting your videos are and no matter the topic of the day I always feel that I have spent some quality time with family. From cruising to clearing your yard after,during and before a storm. From the beautiful cities of Greece to the magical world of the Pyramids in Egypt. From the Holy Land to Disneyland. From the beaches of Mexico and the Caribbean to the decks of a cruise ship and finally a golf cart. I have been there with you and I have been uplifted. I can't thank you enough.

You have to get there again for all the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas! The decorations that people have are amazing!

We were at Give the kids the world at Disney 2yrs ago for 7 days and loved every minute of it. My granddaughter loved everything about Disney world. It was amazing.
Just when I thought it could not get any better you all pull this oh my gosh loved everything the healthy salad for lunch the yummy looking kabobs I bet everyone watching this video was drooling you really did a good job on that and dessert was a treat of the lights very creative lots of work thank you both again you gave me some happiness again today

Ive never traveled before. I've been day dreaming of travel for years, and I remember that when I went into planing trips I checked reviews and your channel was one of my favs.
Then today I went serching for Disney resorts because of a trip for chrismas, and I clicked but didn't noticed the channel ... Wow that's so great that you guys covered this Disney resort. Wow you guys rock man. That was so lucky.

We use to have class a 35 ft loved it we traded it in for a home in florida and cruised often and miss both right now but your videos put a smile on my face. We raised our kids with disney trips and our grandkids are doing the same love it all

My husband is stressed out about storing Christmas decorations every year at our house. I can’t imagine what he would say about that amount of decorations and staying in an RV!!!!!

Me and my family experience fort wilderness camp ground Christmas 2020 . Such an amazing camp grounds and such an amazing experience to give my boys, they go to do the assay station and canoeing.

With a family, full hookup is worth it at fort Wilderness. When you stay here you should try to stay for minimum 1 week if you can. With full hookup you don't need the comfort station unless you want to use bathrooms during the day. The site you guys are in are tents and small pop up and 25 feet or less rvs.

Just noticed, the reason it was so empty is because you were in the tent site/small camper area. Full hook up area is usually always full. Either way, being that empty is great. We were supposed to be there right now but moved it to next September, can't wait.
Really great video loved all the lights and those shish kabobs look really good to yum do you all collect the souvenir refrigerator magnets from every place that you go to? Safe travels and have fun
The plan in the RV is to get a magnet from each state with a goal to collect all 50 (we know we have to fly to Hawaii but that is planned).

Of course its worth it. You get luxury resort access with reasonable "Disney" prices, compared to one of their fancy resorts. We stayed in the 300 loop and it was awesome and I'd do it again, which we are planning to do, after Covid.

I started laughing when you both did the ride around the loops & seen all the Valentines Decorating. I have been there for each holiday & you should see it for Christmas. There is a group every year that will stay from Thanksgiving to New Years & they always get the same loop. You thought that lite up castle was amazing, there is a family that has a castle as tall as his truck driving rig & the castle completely hides his entire semi tractor. It is amazing. For Halloween, there us a family that recreates the Haunted Mansion, they even bring in the old couches, the dressers etc... it is amazing.
Oh we definitely want to go back then!!

Coffee is needed. I can’t remember deer in Florida. I can see tons of ppl selling their rvs in a few yrs wen ppl can go on their normal vacations. Even tho we stayed in a Disney hotel i loved the chip and Dale campfire experience. My little sister wasn’t keen on it tho. I love beach bbqs wen I’m in Sydney. We did it in Florida as well.

The Disney Castle Decoration is available at Home Depot or Lowes. I love ours. We put it out each year!

We do chicken and steak. and veges. we also do them with teriyaki and worstershire is awesome as well. So much fun to do kebabs at a campfire. have fun y'all! Also marshmallows are low fat and not as sugary as you would think, just roast the marshmallows. I used to have a dachshund that if we lit a grill he would whine until I roasted him a marshmallow or 2 and some for myself :-)
If you want a nice alternative to smores, melt a little saucepan of dark chocolate down and dip strawberries and fruit in it like a "frontier fondue" :-) add a little olive oil and it'll help the chocolate melt perfectly smooth, but just a tad

We did not. If we asked they may have let us in one but I didn’t think about it. We have stayed in the cabins twice and they are nice.

Thanks for your videos. We purchased same motor home two weeks ago....after watching your adventures.....so if it ends up being nightmare purchase...it’s your fault😂. Curious about one item I noticed or did not notice.... no interior ceiling sweep gasket installed... my other campers had one inside and out. Thinking assembly line had hiccup and neglected to install

I'm a big fan of lump charcoal over charcoal briquets. At least in ,my grill (Big Green Egg) lump charcoal burns hotter which is great for steaks and adds more and better smoke flavor to the bbq meat.
The Kabobs look awesome!! I make almost the same but use teriyaki instead of soy, each is a winner!!!
I enjoy you videos.. your camper is the bomb.. if I ever get an RV.. it will be like yours.. great tour of the camp.. only one comment.. as a viewer, I’d rather be seeing the cool thing you are talking about, instead of seeing you on-camera saying how cool it is.. then showing it for a few seconds.. you can still talk about how cool it is while showing it.. just too much facetime/talking for my taste. besides that.. really nice tour.

wish you would say the prices of things so we can see if it is worth it.
I would personally never stay in the campgrounds again. Yes the actual sites are good but you won’t be there as you will be in Disney. Trying to get to the pools were a pain unless you spend even more renting a golf cart. So on top of a expensive site now an extra 65$ a day for that. The pool staff over served parents who were so intoxicated it was dangerous. A child almost drown and had to be rescued by the lifeguard in a pool packed with intoxicated parents. I was horrified. So for almost 300$ a night why bother? Stay at a hotel and take the elevator down to a pool and a place to eat at.

Because the cost varies depending on the time of year. It would not be accurate what we paid compared to summer. We are showing what all you get for the cost of the campground. I did show the cost of rentals, etc.

Some people stay for a month or more.
Would love to visit and stay at the Fort Wilderness, but a bit too pricey for my taste.

We are showing all you get at the campground for the cost. We loved it there and I think you can tell from our presentation that we think it is worth it as this is a positive video.

We paid @$80 per night and full hook ups were $30 more.

Nope. They travel way more than average kids. It’s their senior year so they are focused on school this year.

We are going to do some near to home camping for the next few months until the boys graduate.

It was a Tuesday in January. Other times of year it’s packed.
Did you have to wear masks everywhere
At the campsite is the only place you don’t have to wear a mask. Everywhere outside the campsite you have to wear a mask.
The percussion in the music is annoying and distracting at times!
So why y’all got those masks on if no one is there ?
The resort requires the use of facial masks. There are employees throughout the resort and at every stop sign making sure guests are wearing their mask. The only place where you can remove your mask is at your camp site.

This was back in January and they were required indoors and outdoors at Disney World.
