  • Housing minister Matthew Pennycook admitted that the government's goal of building 1.5 million homes this parliament is a "very stretching target".
Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced the plans earlier this week, saying that Labour will create a new taskforce "to accelerate stalled housing sites in our country".

About to be built by the fully trained net 700,000 new immigrants, hoards of doctors and nurses so NHS is sorted, tradespersons who previously built houses nothing like ours but as long as house buyers and renters don't mind houses not up to uk standard it's a non issue. Net zero is only costing 100bil, but as a bonus will make zero impact as the big polluters are increasing fossil fuel power plants, so as long as we are net zero just stop oil will let traffic flow again. Just stop oil can find jobs in green power, or travel to China, Russia, India, South America, and convince these countries that pollute 80% of the carbon globally that the UK who were adding a whopping 2% is the way forward.

We have migration in and emigration out, sadly those leaving are, in too many cases, the doctors and nurses we need to serve the NHS. Therefore we have to employ migrants with visas to do those roles instead, along wwith the ones our own population cannot or won't do, like Care Staff. It's not that difficult to understand. As for housing, how about blaming the person and government who started the rot in our Housing Policy.....Margaret Thatcher! Forcing councils to sell their social housing stock off at rock bottom prices, and then preventing councils from using those receipts to build more social housing. Whoever thought that was a good idea? Not many, except those who made big fat profits. 😡

Labour's building programme will see huge swathes of our countryside, food production land and habitat concreted over by major corporations (how much do they give to Labour in donations?) with their poorly built, ticky tacky houses. This will increase our carbon emissions (when we are going net zero), we will have to import more food, water attenuation issues, more land fills and reservoirs will be needed, more pressure on local infrastructure, more light pollution etc. etc. The agricultural value of the land needs to be considered before being built on. If Covid19 has taught us anything, it is the need for food security, for now and future generations. Is there an end in site, a plan, or is it just build, build build? The new development im buying a house in had to tell me this week that extra plots have been giving to social housing.
So private housing is taken from us snd giving to the migrants.
Pushing private housing up and making it less obtainable.
    Great job Labour.
    Starting strong i see.

Ironically the rich tend to vote for Lib Dem (who also want mass immigration). Either way it should be rubbed in their faces.
