Spooky Pinball showed us a quick look at their new Scooby Doo pinball machine; let's dissect the video and see what they've got going on as far as playfield shots and geometry, cool new sculpted toys and mechs and I'll give you my unsolicited opinion of whether I'd buy this machine or not. - Jak na to + styl

They could've easily put interactive headlights on the van at least on multiballs. They could've had a ball roll airborne off the roof of the van onto the lower playfield. They didn't even consider the van beyond putting a stagnant cheap looking van plastic in any out-the-way location.

This is my ultimate must have theme. Been a Scooby-Doo fan since I was a kid, now have my kids watching. I am in the middle of a Scooby-Doo themed VPIN project too.
I will be going going for a CE on Friday for sure.

Great video Steve, just subscribed to your channel. The CE is the only way to go on this for me because of the the art package. Just like Stern’s LED ZEP, I had to go LE as the other two art packages didn’t do it for me. Look forward to meeting you at TPF!

The playfield looks kinda dark, the WOZ from Jersey Jack had that same problem. I guess some lE lights will cover the problem 🤔
Looking at getting the CE. Though I love my Monster Bash Remake SE, it doesn’t get much play anymore and you can pretty much find it anywhere on location. So think I’ll be selling that, to get the CE. Great video and insight, first time watcher, and just subscribed.
Thanks for the sub! You make a good point about the likelihood of seeing this at locations compared to the big titles, if Scooby-Doo is a theme someone loves, might be good to buy one vs having to find a location with one - depending on where you live and the number of locations around you etc

Oh wow, you're right I totally missed those, I'm not very familiar with ACNC, played it once years ago - so is that like another horseshoe shot around the center ramp?
Steve if you could have any pinball machine based on any iP made what would it be ?
Hmmm great question - Voltron comes to mind pretty quick 😃 but that's a tough one for me
Overall it looks like another cool Spooky machine - visually I don’t particularly like the coil stops of the upper flippers being so visible. It feels like they could have hidden them within all the cool moulded plastics. Looks like it will play like earlier Spooky games so lots of happy owners. That ball save drop target is intriguing - it only gives you one hit and it’s gone. Faster than getting a ball back into shooter lane - there for a good time not a long time. Thanks for the review, really interesting pre-release look at it.
Yeah I agree that it'd be nice if the coil stops were better hidden - I'm really interested in being able to play it in person once it comes out, could be really fun.
Re: the drop target ball save, if it's only there for a minute and then gone that'd be better than what I was considering, but that actually makes a lot more sense as otherwise it'd have to constantly be reset so yeah thanks for pointing that out
They posted an image with an added molded piece to cover up the coil stops after seeing feedback about that

Fantastic art but playfield is average.
Yeah I totally agree, I'll be super interested to play it, but none of the shots are really getting me excited - that upper pf looks like it could be fun / but will it really make up for the lower...?
EHOH has a similar layout and that pin is fun.
