What happens if you put a brushless system in the Maverick Phantom

I've put a brushless system in the phantom xt to see if its a good idea.

I've just built a brushless bugsta for 150gbp, 50 pounds for the bugsta and 100 for the upgrades :
- steel 17T pinion
- steel 65T spur
- 25KG servo
- one CVD
- 3100KV 3650 3S Motor
- 36mm motor heatsync+fan
- dumbo receiver
- 60a esc
- Carnage sway bars
- Zorro Front Bumper Set
slightly higher spec esc and motor than the new 220gbp carnage 2.0 and a few more goodies in there. if the drivetrain holds up, i might move it up to a 3660 4S motor

Most 3s fit I have a max ten in mine with everything metal and 17mm wheel hubs and slx suspension the thing does 70mph and jumps brilliant only problems are the diffs housing so I have reinforced them with metal brackets

I have the same truck but she’s just standard at the moment , it’s running a 3000 Nimh batt at the moment but I want to switch it to lipo can u do a video on how to switch from nimh to lipo with the jumpers on the esc please?

Oh please tell me what you used to upgrade the suspension arms! My kids and I have broken so many of the plastic maverick ones :-(

Hi there I got them from eBay the maverick phantom is the same car as a himoto e10 mt. If you search that you should find some..hope that helps,

Hi there they are zd racing wheels from Banggood if I’m honest they kept coming undone ( there a bit thick) if your after a better option you could try the ftx carnage wheels pretty cheap and available from model shops like modelsport. Hope that helps.

Having a problem with my pinion gear, it's chewed up. Can you adjust the motor position on the phantom xt? It doesn't look like motor mounts I've seen before... does look like any adjustment to me. Thanks

Hi, yes the motor is offset in the mount from memory so as you rotate it it moves the motor closer or further away from the spur gear. Does that make sense? It’s a bit hard to explain.

Hi there yes I changed the servo for a 25 kg one from Banggood. It works super well.
